Would he do it in secret or would he tell his family? And since this is after the Rescue Boy accident, how will his family react to this?

The way I see it, it's during one of Jacks visit to Griffith Rock he and Cody were having some one on one time just web-swinging around the little city and and through the forest till they finally stop at a spot with a great view of the sunset.

Cody thanks Jack again for helping their team and saving the day from another villian.

"Your an amazing hero, you know that" the young Burns said before adding quietly "Way better than I ever was"

Confused Jack asked for him to elaborate.

Cody told the older teen all about his time as Rescue Boy, his momentary powers and fame, then how he let it go to his head and put himself along with his family in danger.

"In the end the badge made me make dumb risk" Cody muttered " I didn't think I deserved to be out in the field after that"

"Hey you live and you learn"! Said Jack parting his head "That's part of growing up" he tugged at his costume then "You don't think I messed up? Let me tell you I've had my share of mistakes as a hero"

Cody nodded before saying "Yeah I did learn from that and my dad still let's me go on rescue missions....but the weird thing is....I kind of miss it"

"Miss what"? Jack ask cautiously.

"The badge, the power" Cody admitted "But not in a bad way, like I liked being strong, I mean I liked I was strong so that I could help people" he explained "That with it I could be just as strong as my family, as even the bots, I could rescue people on my own when I don't have the team around"

Cody sighed.

"I know I messed up, I know I promised everyone I wouldn't be a superhero, but I I just can't help but think-just think that I could be different, I could be a better hero if I had another chance"

He looked at Jack "Maybe even be a hero like you"

Jack was left speechless at this.

Cody then chuckled embarrassed "Sorry for unloading on you like that....its a silly thought really" he said "Despite what I want it's pretty much provoke I be a terrible superhero, not like you or even Frankie A.K.A Rescue Girl"

Jack didn't know what to say but as he looked at the forlorn look on the boys face he knew he couldn't be silent.

"What kind of hero"?

Cody looked up at him "What"?

"If you were a hero, what kind of hero would you be"?

The boy thought for a second before answering "A hero who can save others

"Cody saving people means a lot of things, whether rescuing people from accidents, fires, or even fighting criminals and villains; its is really dangerous" said Jack in a low-voice "Are you willing to lay down your life to defend others and fight for what's right"?

Cody is quite at that statment.

"That's not taking into account what it means to work as a hero" Jack said "As a superhero you work on a thin line between the law, when doing what's right could be against what's written in the law, it's serious work that could get you in trouble"

Jack looked at his gloved hands "And despite what you do, the people you help or save, people could still see you as the bad guy" he looked at the young boy again "You can still help people like your family, being a fire fighter, a police officer, or a first responder, you don't need to be a superhero for stuff like that"

Cody didn't say anything at first but when he did he said"I know its dangerous serious work and I could get killed for it! But it's my dream! It's what I want to do !" he proclaimed "Even everyday citizens have a duty to step up if the could help, and I want to be there to help for people who need it"

In many aspects Jack couldn't relate to Cody, he had different reasons for wanting to become a hero himself. But he got where Cody was coming from, even on Team Prime he felt so self conscious over the fact he might be a burden given the fact of his height and vulnerability his body held when compared to a Cybertronian. He understood that much, the desire to stand on your own, to be strong enough to protect those around you and who you hold dear.

But what could he say to this boy?

Did he even have the right to steer him on the path that led him to so many sad moments in his life. But happy ones too.

What could he say?

What would Optimus say?

        The teen sighed "I can't tell you what to do " mumbled Jack, but a smile growing on his face despite a flow of tears " But I think- I think you can be a hero, that you can help people"

"You really think so"! exclaimed Cody happily

From those words Cody felt embolden by these words and thus used them to launch pad his goal of being a hero.

He didn't tell his family at first, worried at their reaction. But did make a point to train and exercise more, his reliance on his heroic technology is what sabotaged him in the first place so he needed to make sure he could rely on his other skills. It's at that point he also takes material art classes and extra tutoring on tech use from Frankie.

Things don't really get serious till 1 or 2 years later later when he's meets with Tony Stark as a guest when ether Doc Greene or Graham visit the billionaires tower. He makes quick friends with Raf whose an intern/apprentice to Stark. But Tony finds himself impressed that Cody has the understanding to use some of his tech.

You see Tony may be able to create these weapons and tools but he doesn't always have the time to use them or see how effective they are, but seeing Cody whose a well built young man with a determination to help people he allows him use of some specific pieces of gear.

Ether gadgets that are similar to his Rescue Boy powers or maybe a certain metal spider suit.

Much to the worry of Raf and the annoyance of SHIELD.

Cody is excited and eager to prove himself.

He takes the hero world by storm, debuting in New York, much to the surprise of Jack and his team of new recruits.

Of course he needed to come clean to his family.

As shocked as they were they were more concerned and frustrated.

"I thought you put that hero stuff behind you"? Heatwave questioned.

Graham and Dani are really worried about Cody, remembering the last time he played hero and neatly took himself out.

Kade and Heatwave are more angry, asked where did he get those ideas and who told him that this crazy career could work out for him. That he should risk his life like that. Or worse get harassed for being a superhero. They've seen how Jack was treated by the Bugle and J.J. Jameson and don't want that to happen to him.

Chase is unhappy that Cody would choose a career in vigilantism, working outside the law. He doesn't approve and worries of the legal repercussions Cody might face on day.

Boulder is concerned but is interested in the Stark tech that Cody would use and how it could help others, while Blades is excited and offering to design his costume.

Chief Burns is the last to speak.

As much as he's admired Spiderman and the other hero's he couldn't bring himself to fully support vigilantism, of people technically working outside the law. And when he remembers finding Cody unconscious form near that crater, a new fear welled up that his youngest son could be seriously hurt.

But as he gazes at Cody determined eyes, he realized he couldn't stop him even if he wanted. So instead he tells his son that while his profession isn't his cup of tea he still loved his son and would support him no matter what.

Things are a little tense but there doses come a day were the team can look at the T.V new channel, see him in his hero gear and say.
