Sherlock Dork Visits London After Car Crash 🔎
When I was 19 I got into a rear end accident. Some unlicensed child texting slammed into my bumper going 45 into me…. At a stop light. The happy and financially irresponsible outcome was my first trip to London with the resulting insurance.
I fell in love with bbc Sherlock at 11 and it’s probably one of the biggest reasons I perused the medical/stem/research path. Fun fact…. 221 is my lucky number. Whenever something major in my life happens I see that number. For ex…. In my first clinical setting, the first patient I saw was in room 221 on our unit.
So of course 20 year old me with a ton of money saved up from over a summer of working on a bunch of hospital units as an aid…. I got a tattoo. In London…… 221 on my side.
I also visited both the Sherlock Holmes museum( I later fell in love with acd works) and ate at speedy’s cafe. Funny enough, people eating there don’t realize its the,”Sherlock cafe”. Students I asked to take a picture were surprised to find out it was even in a show haha.
I of course also visited many museums and sights and equally loved that. I saw the cursed child and was dazzled. I really hope to return soon. I’m thinking of doing a study abroad program for some flavor of post-grad-bio somethingggg. Like a credit program though.
Anybody do study abroad programs pertaining to biology/clinical/molecular bio stuff ?? Drop a comment.
Also I’m thinking of a getting a small bee the next time I visit underneath or holding on to my 221. Ideas are invited !!!
