School is back in and that means #speechtherapy is back too! K had a speech delay, getting tubes in his ears helped him catch up some, but he still struggles with expressing himself more than we would like to see - he gets so frustrated when we don’t understand what he is trying to communicate. . In the perpetual battle of moms of multiples everywhere- it is so hard not to compare him with his hyper-verbal twin brother and see a massive deficit in his ability to express himself. . For K Speech therapy means getting to come play with @howtotellastory . One-on-one time with an adult giving him their undivided attention. For us it means knowing that we are giving him all the tools we can to put in his toolbox. . Now when he is asked what he wants to do when he grows up, K usually says “help someone with their talking” which just makes me 🥰😍🥰 . I’m glad he is able to have such a positive attitude about speech - and I am aware that it might not always be the case. . Now I have to figure out how to set aside some special time for his brother tomorrow. J was ambitious for his mom-J afternoon date (zoo, aquarium, and other things 2+ hours away) .
