A bit weird, honestly - and of course with something like that you don’t really know how you feel until you see how the writers will handle it after the initial shock of the reveal. But I’ve had a fairly ‘take the bits that work for me and leave the rest’ approach to canon (especially a canon like SPN) for quite a while, so I’m not too fussed either way. Mostly I’m observing with interest!
And honestly, I never got around to finishing season... 13, I think...? ... so I’m a bit out of touch and not very invested. I won’t be writing for SPN again, but I’ve got well over a million words of SPN fic on AO3, and I may indulge in a re-read of some of my favourites in honour of this occasion. :)

my favorites are usually kakashi hcs cause kakashi is my hyperfixation so like, love trans kakashi and drawing him w lil fangs. Also love trans rin and bigender minato. UUUUh, i headcanon that Sakumo had social anxiety his entire life and his bestie was actually tsunade. Also that Kakashi’s favorite student is Sakura and they actually try to mend their friendship(?) during the timeskip and that they have this weird uncle/niece relationship where they are really smart but dont use their smartness for true good.
