OK! so!

when I first saw the intro, I thought the Boss Monster and human were… metaphorical representations of monsters and humans, respectively. but considering everything else shown in the intro is a literal depiction of events, what if that monster is… an actual monster?

and since the monster shown when they go to war is pretty clearly Asgore, what if the first monster is Asgore? what if the human with the sword is the same as the human with the spear? the hair and the outfit seem to match up.

anyways! since monsters and humans seemed to coexist peacefully (even discounting that a large number of humans were fearful of monsters as a whole due to the monsters having the ability to absorb human souls), what if these two were friends? who, later in life, had to fight each other?

(it hurts even more if you consider that Asgore and Spear/Sword Human are at the forefront of their respective sides, and while the human is leading a faceless mass of armed humans, Asgore appears to be defending a group of unarmed monsters, a good number of whom are given eyes and/or other distinguishing features)
