i’ll have to check but im p sure he’s the second au kid i created after arvy. i p much came up w all of them on the same day except for yoko, i jus.. could never recreate luca’s original design so for the most part i focused on the others.

the kid who looks like a scrub is canon au luca, a 15-16 yo. the colored ref + others like it are his older design, around 19ish, where he’s an established actor n has his life mostly together. uh i threw in info abt ruby/gold bc i.. felt like it. it needed to be somewhere.

basically ruby is hoenn-famous, and gold is famous-by-association. so luca kinda grows up as a.. a spotlight baby, i guess?? i dunno what they’re called. he’s p aloof for like.. all of his life. uhhh context.. if him and edny were in the same au they’d p much be foils, she’s super active and bubbly and he’s the opposite. calm. others.

as you can see by the many sketches of older luca he rly doesnt have a solid design yet. the colored one is probably the one i actually like least i jus needed a color ref. 

anyway. the open vest thing is his younger design. it’s loose and not super form-fitting when fashioned right, and it’s black. he rolls his sleeves up past his elbows. hoenn is hot.

the better-looking design is the older one, where he wears a more form-fitting, tailored vest, dark jeans, and a button down that.. doesn’t get buttoned much bc. hoenn is hot.

he has a good relationship w both parents. i thought about making him a performer/coordinator for a long time bc he takes more after ruby when it comes to that stuff, but decided acting in the end was close enough to maintain that sameness while also matching his aloofness. 

i think originally i wanted him to have brown hair of some form and when i look at his younger version thats the only thing i can see still. but then i remembered who his parents were and was like oh... fuck okay. black it is.

he owns a mawile and. thats it for now. prolly more but iunno yet.
