What the hell sure
I keep getting recommended and seeing on my timeline TDS (Tower Defense Simulator) I tried to play the game but it made me feel like I was scratching my ass through hell fire
I wanna know the characters and lore so if anyone would like please tell me either ask or on this post!!
Just want to remind everyone that there's a difference between "headcanon"/"Theory" and "recognizing the heavily implied things in lore"
Spoilers for semi-recent StarBoundSMP lore ("Her own good"/ Mi-go, Tad, and Vesper lore)
"I don't need you to be sorry right now, I need you to be strong." Mi-Go said these words to Vesper near the end of the lore... and they struck me. We all know that Mi-go is a... not-great character on the moral side, and that she's a bit selfish. But she does care for others, especially Tad and Vesper, though she may not like to admit that on the Vesper side.
Vesper's act of trying to cure Mi-go was from a good place too, even if it went wildly wrong, and therefore, her apologies are sincere. But Mi-go doesn't need apologies. Apologies don't keep people safe. Apologies wouldn't have stopped Go-Mi from trying to kill Tad and Ves.
And in situations like these, there is no time for apologies. The way Mi-go phrases her words, "I need", is important- she's still speaking in her normal self-centered sense... but there's a lot more going on there. She almost killed the two, one of which she is dating. She needs Vesper to be strong, but really, Tad needs that more. Not that Tad is weak, clearly... but Tad would likely hesitate a bit too much if Go-Mi needed to be dealt with. But Vesper fought back. So maybe in a sense for re-paying the breaking of the deal, or maybe for purely being the one who can cope with having to attack Go-Mi, Vesper is the one who has to be strong.
There's often no place for apologies in a war.
being in twitch chats with like no redeems is so funny. like what do you mean the only thing I can do is redeem the hydrate reminder 47 times

GIANNI QUIT PRESSURE
Glad I didn't nuke this account yet because there's one more thing I have a responsibility to make known. Ren, the composer for Pressure, h
Okay so the most recent [Star]BoundSMP lore has... so much to it. ("Clear Head" / "Foggy Mind", streamed on Art and Beck's channels on 4/6/26) - = - SPOILER WARNING FOR ANY LORE UP TO THIS POINT - = -
Honestly, I think that this lore brings up... many, many questions. A few answers are hidden in here as well.
Answer wise, we learned that Mi-go's cure supposedly worked; further, we learned there may still be more "Evren" inside of Nerve than we thought. We also learned that Nerve is terribly, terribly afraid of death. Nerve covets the replicants- they are his, and with the loss of Respev he not only gets slapped in the face, but also struck by an emotion that he has never felt before... both on a biological and emotional standpoint: Loss. Of course, he's lost in some senses. But they took her from him this time.
Then... there's the questions. I'll separate these into two sections, answerable questions within the narrative, and those to consider outside of it:
Within the narrative: - Is anyone "too far gone"? Too infected to be cured? - Would Romeo want to be cured? - Nerve said something about his breathing issues being "purely psychological." I'm unsure whether they were referring to their own panic attack or Evren's issues (which, we know from that one stream that Evren's lungs were heavily impacted on a biological level).
Consider: - In worlds like this, how do we determine who or what should be able to live? - How much should we value being connected? - Can something ever be hopeless? - How does one cope with the loss of a sibling- not only that, but a twin? - What makes you... you?
Whatever . Go my objects
Warning for disturbing imagery at the bottom!
