As with all Spanner Films' projects, UNDERCOVERS is being financed independently, to retain editorial and creative control. The first stage development investments, totalling £150,000, were snapped up in late 2013. As of August 2014, two of the 4 x £600,000 investment have been reserved and two are still available. They will also be announcing a smaller-amounts crowd-funding scheme shortly.
Probably the most important reason people decide to invest in UNDERCOVERS is that they want to help get this story out to a massive international TV audience. Second is probably the substantial tax breaks, the chance that it's a financial success and the possibility of making lots of money. And then there's the fun stuff like tickets to premieres, visiting the set and even appearing as extras.
