Lets talk about: pressure
You know how it feels. Studying as much as you are able so that you can feel worth it. Striving for perfection is your life motto and you truly believe that your marks are a precise representation of who you are.
Let me tell you you are quite wrong. That nasty feeling is due to the immense pressure that is put on school, marks and future.
I as a student who takes 11 different classes am often encountered by this misconception. It is discouraging to say the least and you end up overworking yourself so you can improve. Wanna know a secret? This only makes it worse. When it's time to face the exam you are way to tired to shine no matter how much have you studied. In the worse case scenario this huge pressure can even erase every ounce of motivation, and you might even give up.
However, pressure is not just evil. Some people work great under pressure. Is the overexposure to it that tricks our minds into thinking we cannot deal with the amount of work you are asked to do.
In the end, you are not your marks but they will be your best alley when facing a job interview. A little bit of pressure didn't hurt anyone but a lot will.
What are your opinions on pressure? Is it good? Bad? Or something in between?
Intro Post
Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
New langblr here! I’m a sophomore Elementary Ed. and Spanish Ed. major with a love for languages and all things linguistics. My main purpose for creating this blog is to gain motivation and ideas for studying languages as well as sharing my own all while enjoying (and blogging about) the journey.
My main language I’m working on is Spanish (obv), but I’m also beginning French, and just maybe squeezing in some German or Chinese. We’ll see what I have time for xD. My goal is to brush up on my Spanish this year so I am prepared for my Spanish Communication course in the fall and studying abroad in Argentina starting Jan. 2019.
I’m also excited to join the langblr community! Feel free to introduce yourself or hit me up with any questions!!
