Surreal But Nice by @fuzzballsheltiepants, @gluupor + @annawrites (moonix on AO3), both the fic here or the Podficast here (T, 30k, 2 more chapters left!! )This Notting Hill mash-up collaboration by 3 magicians is so.much.fun. Well, except for the most recent 2 chapters. If you don’t like sad cliffhangers, you might want to wait until Sun 29 Mar to start it.Andrew’s quiet life as the owner of an independent, cat-enriched bookstore in the heart of San Francisco’s hills is thrown into turmoil when Famous Actor Neil Josten stumbles into his shop. They argue their way through Andrew’s literary recommendations and into each other’s hearts. But even as Neil is adopted into Andrew’s family - feline and human alike - they struggle to find a way to reconcile their vastly different lives.

you used to call me on my cell phone by OneSweetMelody @thepalmtoptiger (T, 20k, 2018/19) - I love this story so much I could go steady with it. Using hand motions to indicate which character is speaking, I’ve read a lot of this out loud to ¾ of my family. I recommend you pick some people you’re quarantined with + do the same. It doesn’t really matter if they know AFTG or not!a wrong # au where Neil + Andrew start out snarky and slowly move towards friends. 

Piper Minyard-Josten: kid au by OrdinaryVegan / @pastelanxiete (G, 7824 words, 2017) - I love seeing what qualities of Andrew + Neil rise to the surface when they are called to parent a smaller human. I love Piper.Andrew and Neil have a daughter, and she is an actual ray of sunshine.

Trust Fall (and Welcoming Arms) by @spanglebangle (E, 85k, 2017) - This is one the foundational works in my AFTG fanfic library. Everyone has their own “4th book of canon”; this is one of mine.Life goes on after the Foxes win the championship, and for Andrew and Neil it’s uncharted territory with only each other for guides. Maybe it’s time to put away some of those hard edges, and learn how to touch more softly, and speak more honestly. And if they falter, they have their family to help them get back on their feet. 

it suits you by @lolainslackss (M, 14k, 2018) -  OMG I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS FIC. That’s all I’ll say. Calling Me Back Once Again by @fuzzballsheltiepants​ (E, 12k, 2018) - This is one of my comfort fics; I can’t count how many times I’ve read it. I love the story, feel for Andrew while he waits + I A D O R E the OCs!On Christmas Eve morning, Neil decided to go for a little ski near their ski lodge. An unexpected blizzard hits, leaving it up to the local search and rescue team to find him. Meanwhile, all Andrew can do is wait.

If anyone is looking for absolutely Top Shelf Andreil content, with some quality Allison x Neil shopping dates and some of Aaron Needs Therapy, this is the fic for you. It’s written so, so beautifully and the soft Andreil parts had me tearing up over and over again.

mmmm you’re asking the hard question but generally speaking I like friendship/family and for very specific ships I go for hurt/comfort

sad things like character death and cheating :( but also when every single character is paired off for no particularly good reason

44. How fluffy is too fluffy?

when it starts getting out of character (with allowances for things like post-canon character growth or aus), but also there tends to be certain words that make it too fluffy???
