Actually, He liked her quite a lot! He considered her a good friend who was fun to be around that he trusted with a lot (but not all) of his secrets. However, he just didn’t think there was any deeper attachment than that. A sorta casual, sorta business friendship that he knew was not going to last forever because he had a plan he was working towards. So.. the sorta-romantic surprise confession was really awkward for him to deal with. He also was under the assumption that Dylan was far more interested in his money. Whoops. Guess not!He also just wasn’t into her that way so it was pretty easy to not pick up on the signs. Sorry Dylan.. u got Friendzoned™.

rome is SOOoooooo frustrated and is trying his best not to instinctively react to the situation or make it about him.. cause he knows that will only make it worse. he’s doing his best and trying to think how this annoying stranger might feel from their position.. whatever it is. If he wasn’t physically feeling so terribly and weak he probably would have been like…less… nice..lmao.
