tbh that video rubbed me the wrong way too. Lindsay just did not seem to want to look at any side of the story other than âlet women like what they likeâ which is valid, but also just because previous criticism has come from a bad place doesnât mean the thing shouldnât be criticized.
OH yeah absolutely. i have the same critcism with the video too. the thing i brought up is very nitpicky, but for real i think that there are still some compelling reasons to be concerned with the kind of influence out there during the height of twilightâs popularity. that and conveniently left out is meyerâs own misogyny due to her personal beliefs. yes there was a lot of vitriol, and misogyny is definitely a part of that. but there are still some worrying issues that women have brought up too that shouldnât be swept under.
