9. Favourite aspect of them/their relationship dynamics?

Hmm, I suppose what really bribes me in this ship is their respect, love and utter and complete devotion. It’s just impossibly cute how they try their best to protect each other (the Doctor jumping in front of the Daleks to save Jo? Check. Jo jumping in front of the Satan to save the Doctor? Check). Also, I really like how at ease they are - constantly joking, holding hands, hugging, etc. 10. Least favourite aspect of them/their relationship dynamics? (Can be headcanon)

Sometimes the Doctor can be a bit dismissive of Jo because he is the Time Lord™ and knows better how to deal with a situation (but mainly gets captured and then is released by Jo)

13. How hard is it write/draw your pairing? Scale of 1-10.

Strangely for me, I find it no so hard to write Jo and the Doctor. From time to time I watch some of the episodes just for the reference but not often. So I’ll give 4

Hah, as it’s a theme blog probably most of my posts are about spacegranted. On an estimate, it’s 28? 29? Something around that.P.S. I know that this ask was in my inbox for weeks and I’m so sorry about that! I’ve made a meme to compensate for the waiting 

2. What song fits your pairing the most?

Okay, as I’ve already answered this one I will pick another song because why not? It’s “Love’s Echo” by Anna German (beautiful @cat94208 made for me a video about Three x Jo which you can find below with this song and I just can’t, it’s so amazing and the FEELS ARE SO STRONG OMG). But returning to the question: I just think it perfectly fits the emotional part of their relationship and especially the canon ending (which I disregard with all my heart by the way :D) of “The Green Death”. It shows how much the Doctor and Jo were affected by each other, how they become similar in many ways and learned from their love. And basically, it feels like it was made from Jo’s point of view after “The Green Death” as she remembers all the adventures she shared with the Doctor and how great it was.   

5. Favourite canon moment of them?

Honestly, now I’m grateful that I can answer this thing twice because?? I have so many favourite moments?? (well, maybe because due to Big Finish audios we have so many blessed scenes). And I know it isn’t correct to name a moment from BF but I just can’t resist - my top 1 favourite scene is the Doctor’s speech to Jo from “the Tyrants of Logic” as he thanks her for saving his life and says that she was literally the only reason that he was able to overcome the cyber-priming. Now it’s my all time favourite piece of DW media EVER as it’s just beautiful. It represents the core, the base of their relationship that stands on the immense devotion to each other. So yes, that’s it, it’s the best moment I could think of. 

P.S.: Jo calling herself the Doctor’s lifeline is my new aesthetic

7. Favourite headcanon trope/idea (your own or someone else’s)

Soo, I can’t find the link to the original post (though I’ll be grateful if somebody can send it to me) but it was about headcanon that the Doctor usually picked Jo up on his motorbike in the morning and gave her lift to the UNIT. It was based on the words of Katy Manning that Jon Pertwee actually did it to her during filming and honestly, it feels absolutely in-character for the Doctor and Jo (I swear, I even saw a fanart for this thing??).

20. What made you decide to ship them?

You know, it went dramatically fast from “I guess these characters look kinda cute” to “OMG them TOGether my ship I love them SO mUch asgfvdfsdk” so it wasn’t my decision really (and anyway, who in their mind would dedicate their life to shipping in general as it is a CURSE and especially to shipping two fictional characters from 1970s TV series?? because?? the minimum of fan made content or approval from show producers is kinda killing you??). But seriously, I suppose I started to REALLY ship them while watching season 9 because the amount of spacegranted content is absolutely mind-blowing:

2. What song fits your pairing the most?

I suppose my choice isn’t what you will think about first, but I strongly associate Spacegranted with “Follow me” by Muse. I feel that this song perfectly shows how deeply they are loyal to each other even in the face of the darkness, how desperately one wants to protect the other and that it’s mutual from both sides. Also, 99% of times the plot point of stories is that Jo literally follows the Doctor into a grave danger because he needs her to keep him safe - isn’t that freaking awesome?? and hella cute??

5. Favourite canon moment of them? 

As I rewrote answer for this particular question 3 times now I started to think that either anything that includes the Doctor and Jo is beautiful (which it is) or I’m really iffy when it comes to making decisions. Sooo I’ll go the easy way and name “sacrificing yourself to the Satan to save the love of your life” scene (honestly, what a life goal)  from “The Daemons”. It sets their whole “protect each other at all cost” dynamic and the plot twist really took me by surprise but it was so amazing, like, unbelievably amazing. So, yeah, that’s it, but actually I can name a number of scenes that are just crucial to the Doctor and Jo’s relationship like the time ram moment from “The Time Monster” or their dialogue from the first episode of “The Green Death” 

The Doctor: “You’ve got all the time in the world and all the space. I’m offering them to you”

I know I am late to the party BUT! I have finally laid my hands on Doctor Who Magazine #508 which is dedicated to 70s DW and let me say that I HAVE NO REGRETS A long post ahead but it worth it!

Tag Game: Doctor Who Edition

Doctor you started with: I’ve started with the Ninth Doctor. Actually it were my friends who made me to sit down with them and watch the first episode. At first I was like “what, everything is so strange, I don’t understand a thing” but then, oh boy, I fell in love with this show. I watched New Who nonstop and then started Classic Who from Terror of Autons because I was attracted by Delgado.

Favourite Doctor: Twelve and Three are my №1, I think I would take a bullet for both of them. But Nine is very close to the top too.  

Favourite Companion: Jo Grant, my precious, carring, badass baby. It’s like impossible not to love her. I mean, just look: 

Jo: *is chased by giant stone robot who killed a person in front of her*

Robot: Execute! Execute! 

*five minutes later when robot turns out not to be evil*

Jo: Oh, Mr Robot, will you be alright if we leave you here for some time? I worry for you so much!

Favourite Episode:  Classic Who: “The Three Doctors”, I suppose? Idk, there are so many underappreciated episodes like “the Mind of Evil” or “The Mutants” or “the Time Monster” (the Atlantis Part). 

New Who: Every.goddamn. episode. with Twelfth Doctor. Especially from series 9 and 10. Peter Capaldi is the gift we do not deserve. 

Also I am very passionate about “The end of the world”. It is a masterpiece. Absolutely legendary. I laughed so hard while watching it because MUSIC THERE. OH GOD.THAT MUSIC. But then it suddenly became so damn sad, and I was like “oh yeah emotional rollercoaster I like that” *sobs*

DW OTP: I think it’s kinda obvious? Three x Jo is my favourite OTP for sure and you can engrave “spacegranted” right on the monument on my grave. 

I suppose it’s because both Third Doctor and Jo are types of people who can’t help but touch everybody around them so when they are together we get double amount of touching which cause a lot of adorableness and unnecessary feels. 

 Yes, Jo, you can randomly put your hand on Doctor’s body, why not.

Yes, Doctor, you can hold Jo’s hand all the time because you worry for your girlfriend companion

Favourite Character that isn’t the Doctor or a companion: 

Good Guy: God bless Brigadier. His facial expressions are priceless

 Bad Guy: Omega, definetely. He is very interesting character, powerful, well-mannered (well, when he isn’t having his tantrums), emotional, a bit sassy, and I actually sympathized him while watching the series. 

BrOTP: Tenth Doctor and Donna, I guess.  

Favourite DW fic (if you have one): First of all, big thanks to @cat94208 for inroducing me to the fanfic “Variation on a theme”. I really enjoyed it. But back to the question: I absolutely love all fics by Primsong about Three and Jo but my favourite one is “The Shining Furrow”. It’s just so...good? I reread it sometimes and every time it’s still such a pleasure.  

Favourite DW fanart/blog (if you have one): @thelonelygodzilla‘s art is the reason why I am alive and yet I die of feels every time I see it. 

Idk, The Doctor and Jo in his/her works look so good, so pure, so in love  

But why stop on fanart when we have official art?Let me tell you this...

I LOVE THIRD DOCTOR TITAN COMICS SO MUCH! Like, how the hell it’s even real? How the hell it’s canon? After more than 40 years we suddenly get this story and oh God, what a time to be alive. 

If you could pick anyone to be the next Doctor, who would it be? (Why, if you feel like explaining): Can we just have a new circle of Peter Capaldi? Like Twelve regenerating into Twelve would be so nice. I would actually pay to see more of him on screen. I just hope Big Finish will catch PCap right after his leaving and do some (by that I mean as much as possible) audios with him and Bill and maybe other companions and Clara. pLeAsE. 

But if I really have to choose I pick Tilda Swinton because she has very unique appearance and it would be a fresh start for the show. 

If you could pick anyone to be the next companion who would it be? (Why?): I know that I am supposed to pick an actual actor but...guys, listen. 

Newt Scamander as companion of New Doctor. They would travel around the universe saving different creatures, visiting amazing places and do other good stuff.   

Favourite fan theory: Shame but I don’t know any theories about DW

Other fandoms: Legend of Aang/Korra, Harry Potter, Overwatch, Skyrim, Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean, MCU (is there a fandom for classical russian literature? Because I am totally in it).
