@spacecadette ᢉ𐭩'd, tony's been reading upside down for approximately thirty-two seconds before veronica notices. opposite her all sprawled out with his chair tipped back onto its two hind legs, one ankle hooked very lazyily around the other, his pen turns through his fingers as his eyes make the very short journey from her face to the open page between them. when she catches him, he doesn't look away. if anything, he squints. ' you've got very aggressive handwriting. '
his chair comes forward with a soft clack. he leans across the table, arm settling beside whatever they're actually supposed to be working on, which has apparently become considerably less interesting than veronica sawyer's private thoughts.
' look at that. ' the end of his pen hovers over a particularly violent bit of ink. his eyes lift to hers. ' you start off all neat and clever, then about three lines in you begin trying to murder the paper. ' a teeny little beat, a little stare. his gaze drops back to the page, then, gleaning: ' am i in it yet? '
