Humans are Weird: Pregnancy
What if most alien species reproduce like avians or reptiles with large clutches of eggs which they donât spend much time with, so the concept of raising a child inside of oneself is absolutely disgusting.Â
Yâxplc wandered the corridors of the ship in the middle of the night-not that it mattered in space. Most everyone was in their sleeping pods, but he heard shouts from the humansâ pod. He scuttled over as quickly as he could to investigate. There were clearly loud shouts and signs of aggression.Â
âI donât want to have the baby here!â Human-Sarah cried, âIn space! What if something goes wrong- what if the spaceship air hurts it. What if-âÂ
âThat wonât happen,â Jane interrupted her, âNothingâs going to happen to the baby,â Jane soothed.Â
This outburst surprised Yâxplc, surely human-Sarah couldnât be concerned. The air was kept at a stable oxygen level for most species. And there were incubators for all species, the eggs would be kept safe.Â
Human-Sarah had been absorbed into the crew for the most part. After a few words with Jane, the message about the shrieking had been conveyed and she had stayed quieter. Sarah even taught some of the crew-mates how to play chess. Many hours waiting in deep space were spent staring at a chess-board interspersed with some compulsory cursing as pieces were taken.Â
Human-Sarah had warmed up to the aliens and was friendly with everyone, though it wasnât hard to notice how she shied away from direct contact with anyone, Jane.Â
However, in the recent weeks, Human-Sarah had been getting moodier. Yâxplc assumed it had something to do with the eggs. But when he went to the incubator there were not any eggs there. Perhaps the laying cycle was not going well.Â
Months passed and Yâxplc began to notice other things as well; human-Sarah was eating excessively and was gaining weight, a lot of weight. Progesterone levels were also increased to an unhealthy amount.Â
Eventually, Yâxplc contacted human-Jane about. She was under the belly of a generator fixing it with a sonic wrench.Â
âHuman-Jane,â He asked, âIs human-Sarah ok?âÂ
âWhat do you mean,â Jane looked up âIs she hurt?âÂ
âNo, but she is gaining weight rapidly and itâs noticeable as well as increased progesterone level.âÂ
âOh,â Jane let out a rush of carbon-dioxide. âThatâs just because of the baby,â She explained
âBut there are no eggs in the incubator,â Yâxplc questioned, âAre you keeping them elsewhere,âÂ
There were a few species who liked to keep the eggs safe with their own body-heat as part of their customs.Â
âEggs? What does this have to do with eggs,â Jane asked confused. âThe eggs-your offspring.â âYâxplc,â she garbled, âHumans are mammals we carry are babies in us.â âWhat?â Yâxplc couldnât hold back a sound of disgust. âThatâs why sheâs gaining weight and eating so much, she has to feed the baby/â âThatâs like a parasite,â Yâxplc unconsciously scuttled backward.Â
Human Jane's eyes narrowed angrily, âOur baby is not a parasite.âÂ
âNo,â Y'xplc backtracked quickly, âOf course not."Â
In the coming weeks, human Sarahâs belly swelled to unimaginable sizes and she spent most of her days lying in bed. Jane too was preoccupied with the baby and Sarah. She was reading books on human child-care almost constantly whens he wasnât fetching Sarah food.Â
Most of the other aliens kept a wide berth from the baby inside of Sarah. The idea of keeping oneâs young inside of themselves was absolutely disgusting.Â
Then one day, Y'xplc her screams from their pod. "Itâs starting,â Human-Sarah half screamed, half groaned. âthe contractions."Â Many hours later a squirming ball of flesh popped out of human Sarahâs reproductory region. It was tiny and delicate. Itâs smooth round head. Human-Jane carefully swaddled it into a soft blanket and handed it to human-Sarah.Â
"Your baby. Itâs a she,â Jane smiled.Â
âOur baby,â Human-Sarah sighed in relief. âIt has your genetic code."Â
The baby soon became a constant on the ship. Its wails punctuated the night and were subsequently followed by either Jane or Sarah cooing and shushing before providing it with sustenance.Â
Y'xplc documented the babies growth and wondered why humans would give birth in such a dangerous and painful manner. Well, humans were weird. Â

The McDonnell Douglas F-408 Vampire is a twin engine trans-atmospheric tactical fighter aircraft designed for escort missions with additional capabilities including air/space superiority, ground attack, electronic warfare, and signals intelligence roles. The F-408 was developed jointly for use in the United States and Pacific States Armed Forces but has since been exported to the air and space forces of several other nations.
McDonnell Douglas is the prime contractor and was responsible for the majority of the airframe, wings, and final assembly of the F-408 while program partner Cessna provided the weapon pylons, avionics integration and training systems. Hughes Northrop was responsible for production of the 408 within the PSA.

I found a new game thats quite fun and lets me kinda live my spaceship piloting fantasy.
I found a new space ship game called Star Conflict (also its free on steam) and it controls just like i think a ship should be controlled. the I got are up, down, left, right, rotate right, rotate left, strafe right, strafe left, strafe up, strafe down and most importantly gun and if anything, it just helps my scratch that itch for being a spaceship pilot. But i have a question, does anyone else have this kinda itch what kinda games do you play to scratch it? i'm open to any suggestions. i want the main focus to be on the ship rather then the player, preferably an offline game but i can deal with it being online, and hopefully a wider range of options instead of jsut combat but i won't complain if that is one of the main focuses of the game, hope to get some fun suggestions. i'd be happy with Star Conflict except for the fact thats its kinda dying as it can take about 1-3 minutes to have a match, sure i'm just dealing with PVE since PvP is locked, but people are still high leveled so they can snipe the Enemies before i get much of a chance. i only think the game is dying, if its not, please tell me how wrong i am another game that scratches that itch would be Star wars battlefront 2 from 2005, the space battles as very nice.
