when they woke up the next morning, kami was happy that it was pretty late. still, her body couldn’t shake the feeling of waking up so early completely. she was still up an hour or two before sowon but that gave her time to plan everything. as much as they could get in with the few extra hours they had. by the time sowon did wake up, kami was dressed and the food at arrived. “morning~” she sing-songed and sat down on the bed, letting her body relax. 

“we should still be all packed and ready but we have a more hours and i finally want to go explore.” going places in between breaks had been fun but the time was short. most of the days had been filled with filming and work related things, most of today would be pure freedom. “my manager said we can go anywhere within walking distance but nothing more than that. just in case they manage to work out an earlier flight.” 

“ sowon-ah, can you hear me ? the signal is shitty because as always, my luck is as shitty as my dice. ” the chirping of his voice at the phone was oh so high because honestly, he’s been recording and having dance practices for so long he lost contact with what truly fun was, and that’s without counting the experience of the shared house. that was still part of his job, it wasn’t exactly like screaming against tieflings and odd numerical chances. “ listen, are we going to start a new campaign since we finished with the one-shot before christmas ? i’d be up for it, honestly, the abstinence is killing me. ”

“they’re all very different people, but they keep me grounded and sane and i love them for that. i hope they can say i do the same, but truly, i don’t think i would’ve lasted this long as an idol without the support system they provide, i would’ve quit by now without them.”

“so it wasn’t funny at all back then, but it was basically the moment that got me into gold star. it’s funny to me because i was this broke teenager on a trip to korea i didn’t want to be on, but like….i wasn’t too mad about trying out the nightlife. so i went busking in hongdae trying to make some money to go clubbing, and i danced to turn up the music by chris brown. these people were hyping me up, at least i thought, and i really thought i was the shit. it’s really cringey to look back on, though. i did get enough to buy an outfit for the club, but it gets even funnier because they wouldn’t let me in on the first try. it essentially got me scouted though, so that’s always a plus.”

“the weather is fucking paradise when it wants to be, for real. i mean…yeah there’s the rain and the hurricanes, but who cares when you get the sunny days to make up for it? my friends were shit but they were fun to be around - i liked being around people who were like me. i really liked when i was on the dance competition team, that was one of the best times of my life. but about korea, well…i like being around people who actually look like me, for one. it’s helped me appreciate my parent’s and my culture more, too. and i’ve definitely become a better person here, so in turn i’ve got to meet some true friends.”

I can twist and make shapes with my tongue…it’s useless rather than weird, honestly. And I can tie a knot on a cherry stem, too.

Because it’s cold these days I prefer to have any soup or stew for dinner. Kimchi stew, soft tofu, rice cake soup. And anything spicey when I’m stressed.

As for deadly sin…I’m a sloth, definitely.

And for heavenly virtue…I don’t know. I do think I’m a kind person, though. But I would sound obnoxious if I praise myself too much 

👀 what would make you happy right now? 

“Well, my group members and my boyfriend make me happy.”

👀 are you satisfied with what origin is doing musically? 

“I am. If my group members aren’t that’s something they and I can discuss and talk about.”

👀 if you were to release another solo album right now, what would you want the listener to get out of it?

“as cliché as it may sound, i think being a strong vocalist is one of my greatest strengths. it means i’m good at my job, right? i do also take pride in my professionalism. my weakness is probably my weak mental ability. i doubt myself a lot, and i always seem to be afraid of something.” 

“she’s not in a group, but i would love to have byul unnie’s discography. i practically love every single one of her songs. however, if i did have to choose a group, i guess i’d choose silhouette.”
