In this recipe, juicy salmon fillets are glazed with an orange wine sauce made with Southbrook Vidal Skin Fermented White Orange Wine 2017. Along with the sweetness of the honey and the savory notes of the soy sauce and garlic, the wine gives the dish a unique depth of flavor. This dish is great for a fancy dinner or any time you want to impress someone.
Ingredients: 4 salmon fillets. 1 cup Southbrook Vidal Skin Fermented White Orange Wine 2017. 1/4 cup honey. 2 tablespoons soy sauce. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 teaspoon grated ginger. Salt and pepper to taste. 1 tablespoon olive oil. Sesame seeds for garnish. Sliced green onions for garnish.
Instructions: Preheat the oven to 400F 200C. In a small saucepan, combine the orange wine, honey, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook until slightly thickened, about 5-7 minutes. Set aside. Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Add the salmon fillets, skin side down, and cook for 2-3 minutes until nicely seared. Brush the salmon fillets generously with the orange wine glaze. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Remove from the oven and brush with more glaze. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions. Serve the orange wine glazed salmon hot with your favorite side dishes. Enjoy!
