Storyline: You and Kol are in love. He dies, you become heartbroken, depressed and move with his family to New Orleans, looking for a way to bring him back, unknown to you he is back in another body falling for another girl.

You had to watch your only love be killed, unable to do anything about it. Your great great (some more greats) grand cousin locked you and Klaus in the room with his body. You cried until you couldn’t breathe. When the spell had broken and you both were free, you couldn’t move. You didn’t want to. You wanted to die and be with Kol.

Klaus had carried you out, crying and screaming. 3 weeks later, Klaus suggested that you both head for New Orleans, your old home. You had fell into depression.

You’d met Hayley a little while after being in New Orleans. You two had become good friends, she’d helped you through your depression, and you had helped her with her PPD, even attempted to console her on having to give up her daughter.

Lately you’ve been feeling like you were being watched, whenever you would look you’d only see Kol there. You talked to Camille about it. She said it could be because you missed him and are now hallucinating him. Or him trying to communicate with you.

That was the spark of you spending nearly every waking moment looking for a way to bring him back, since you couldn’t do it yourself. You went to a psychic, to communicate with him and that went on for two months before it abruptly stopped.

A week later you met Kaleb Westphall, Davina's new male warlock friend. He would flirt with you a whole lot. It actually weirded you out a bit, because of how much he reminds you of Kol. (If only you knew the truth.)

When Klaus told you that Mikael was alive once again due to Davina, you had truly almost killed the young girl. But Kaleb stopped you by magically snapping your neck.

When you found out Finn was still alive in another witches body, you threw up out of horror and disgust. When he’d told you that Kaleb was Kol, you had almost killed him, thinking he was lying. Hoping. But he wasn’t. You had to stop yourself from hurting him, reminding yourself he’s in another person’s body.

When you went to the cemetery at Rebekah’s call, you saw the truth for yourself. You saw Kaleb (Kol) and Davina kiss. You left heartbroken.

When Freya came around, you two had surprisingly gotten along very well. It took a while, but you both got there. After defeating Dahlia and Hayley and Klaus being able to bring Hope home, you would share small stories of the Mikaelsons when you had all grown up together. You taught her spells even though you couldn’t do them yourself.

When Klaus had Hayley cursed, you secretly searched for a way to break it, before giving up. No one would help.

Seeing Hayley all bloody, holding her baby truly brought tears to your eyes. When she moved out, you finally asked her why she was in the state she was in. She’d given you the full story, leaving nothing out. You of course scolded her on killing Kara and those witches, but in the end, you knew it wouldn’t change anything.

When you saw Lucien again, you immediately didn’t trust him. You felt something was off, and it wasn’t him constantly flirting with you. You had gotten that feeling again when Tristan and Aya showed up. Though you held a deep respect for Aya, you still felt that feeling in your gut.

When you had seen Davina again, you’d constantly glare at her and remind her of all the bad things she’d done. But when you were home, you would do the same to yourself, calling yourself a hypocrite. Which you were one.

Once Klaus had told you and Rebekah to distract Davina, you jumped at the chance to yell at the girl. Calling her a whiny brat. She would respond, “If I’m whiny, why was Kol with me and not you? Why am I, the only one looking for a way to bring him back.”

Rebekah had to hold you back from attacking her. She then asked you to leave. Once it was just the two of them, she immediately laid out on her, defending herself and you.

“You cannot compare the pain both Y/N and I feel. Kol is my brother and her lover. We’ve been there for him for over 1,000 years. What you think You and Kol have, it will pass.” With that Rebekah got the signal that the ashes were switched and she left.

When Davina broke the sire links, it caused so much chaos, but it also brought back the man you loved. And who you thought loved you. It turns out that was a lie.

They were always together, the rest of the Mikaelsons’ tried cheering you up, saying it wouldn’t last. That he doesn’t love her. But it wouldn’t work.

When Finn came back again, even he defended your love for Kol. That seemed to cause Davina to become more upset than she already was, so she cursed him. Locking him in his vampire body.

When Finn died you all had a funeral for him. That was also the funeral for your relationship with Kol.

You watched him grieve Davina after he’d killed her. Be so angry when she didn’t come back. It truly broke your heart.

Storyline: Kol gets some serious Deja Vu. Bonnie comes to New Orleans for the week while You try and move on.

Part 2 of traitor

*Kol's POV*

I was walking down the streets of San Francisco happily while Davina is out with some friends. Head down to the record store , I see a couple walking out. I’d tried to ignore their conversation, but it oddly got the best of me, and I ended up listening.

“I’m telling you, vinyls are the only way to listen to music. It’s a bit cliché, I admit but its amazing.” Kol looks down and smiles sadly, thinking of how he’d said something similar to you before he’d died.

He walks into the store and looks around for a moment remembering all the times in the 20's you’d walk with a record of music you think he’d like. Even if you didn’t understand the appeal of vinyls, you did it for him.

He walks over to the Blues section and looks for two specific records. Ray Charles, Elvis and The Platters

It takes him a minute, but he eventually finds them. He pays for the things he wanted and leaves the store. When he’d gotten home, he put one of the records on the vinyl. He hears the door open just as he plays the record.

He walks to the front door and helps Davina with her things, she immediately reminds him of the party they’re going to tonight. He rolls his eyes.

“Of course, how could I ever forget.” Davina turns around and kisses him before going to shower, while Kol gets dressed in formal wear.

When they get to the party, he gets uncomfortable, with the people walking up to him, talking to him like they know him. He sees Davina is having fun, so he tries to have fun as well. The only problem.

The party is insanely boring.

He hears Davina talking with her friends about him. About how great he is to her. She’d called him a one of a kind. Kol’s mouth turns up into one of disdain.

He didn’t like the way she was describing himself to her friends. It was all a lie. And while he was all for lying sometimes, it didn’t feel right now. Not at this moment, around people he didn’t know or even like.

He wanted to leave but he couldn’t, people had seen him come in with her. If he was with you, he would have just asked you to make up an excuse and leave the party with him. You would go home and watch plays and movies. Sometimes you wouldn’t even leave the house. Sometimes you would just talk, all night. The two of you were very emotionally connected, as well as spiritually.

But sadly when the two had gotten home, there was no talking to get emotionally closer. She’d only argued. Argued about how he wasn’t trying, how he wanted to go back to his old ways. His old life.

He talked, about how he wasn’t in a party mood and he’d just wanted to sleep tonight off. She made him sleep in the guest room. When she went to bed, he went outside to get his anger out. And to feed.

Of course she found out and ignored it. Like she always does. He noticed that whenever someone tells her about how he is, or was she just brushes it off. He didn’t like that.

He needs a challenge. When he was with you, you would yell and scream at him, make him see he was wrong. You would even give him the silent treatment, for months. He would apologize to you, but you would always say, “Don’t apologize to me, apologize to their family.”

But you also supported him, even in all of his craziest idea’s. You both made mistakes, you both learn and move on.

That’s why you love her. Loved.

*Y/N*

I went to the airport to pick Bonnie and her boyfriend Enzo up, they were visiting. Well, more like hiding, something about a huntress.

When you had gotten to the airport, you hugged her as tight as possible without crushing her. She officially introduced you to Enzo, you liked him. He seemed good for Bonnie. But that didn’t stop you from threatening him.

You took them to the hotel and their room. Once they were settled they met up with you at Russo's. Everything was amazing, you caught up, and laughed like it was the last time. Then it got to the serious things, about the sire links, and the witches in New Orleans. About Kol.

Then Bonnie asked the question, you had been dreading.

“Where’s your other half? Kol.” You hummed in pretend confusion. So she’d asked it again.

“Where is he, Kol. You said he was back right. Well, where is he, I’d never seen you without him and vice versa.” That was the moment you told her all about Davina.

To say Bonnie was upset was an understatement. Just because she didn’t like Kol, and even wanted him dead doesn’t mean she didn’t love you, or want you unhappy.

Enzo had to calm her down because she was making the ground shake. Once she’d calmed down, she immediately asked where Kol lived. But you didn’t tell. For two reasons actually.

1. You didn’t know.

2. You didn’t care (liar)

While Bonnie was there she’d constantly tried to set you up. You had been on over 20 dates. 4 double dates. You just couldn’t seem to get over Kol. You personally found it insanely pathetic. Everyone in your life is very happy and in a beautiful relationship. Camille and Klaus, Hayley and Elijah, to Freya and Keelin, Josh even Marcel and Rebekah. It hurt, but it also gave you motivation to try and move on completely. You started by cleansing yourself of the Mikaelson family for a little while.

You went on a therapy retreat. It helped quite a lot. Soon you were able to go on dates and not break down. You were finally in a happy relationship after a year.

His name is Conor. He’s very sweet and honest. He works at the Police station, with the infamous Detective Hank Anderson. (DBH reference)

On the week of Freya and Keelin's wedding, you were to be the bridesmaid.

While you were very happy, you also can’t lie to yourself and say you don’t get some serious Deja Vu.

*Kol's POV*

Davina and I were heading back to New Orleans for Freya and Keelin's wedding. I was going to officiate it.

We drove to the wedding venue, once we’d gotten off the plane. We’d went to our respective rooms and gotten dressed. I walked out with Davina.

Pretty soon the ceremony started. Klaus with Camille, Vincent with Hayley, Marcel and Rebekah, Hope as the flower girl while Elijah walks Freya down the aisle.

Then the bridesmaid, Y/N walked out with a guy on her arm. She looks beautiful in that blue dress (this👇🏾)

My eyes lit up, not that I’d notice. But what I did notice was my own heart beating faster. I glanced at Davina, she was already looking at me with a scowl.

We went through the ceremony pretty quick. It was beautiful. Everyone is dancing and having a great time. I was dancing with Davina but for some reason my eyes kept going to Y/N, it scared me. I would get this weird feeling in my chest when I see her laughing at a joke her boyfriend told her.

After a couple minutes of dancing, I get bored and sit down, while Davina dances with Josh. I hear Y/N say she was going to the bathroom so I discreetly follow her. When she comes out, she’s drying her hands off. Then she sees me.

“What do you want?”

“I just wanted to see how you were doing.”

“I’m fine, now goodbye.” She goes to walk off but I grab her arm softly. We look at each other, don’t even say anything for a few moments.

“Do you love him?” She looked me in my eyes before responding.

“Yes.” I nod, letting her arm go and wishing her well. She leaves, I hear another set of footsteps on the floor but I don’t move.

“Brother?” Its Elijah. “You shouldn’t do this, you’re the one who broke her heart, you have Davina, you are happy. She’s happy. Don’t ruin that.”

“You ever get the feeling like you’ve done something before with someone, and you do it again with someone else and it just feels weird.”

“Sometimes.”

“What is that?” It was a rhetorical question, he knew what it was, he just needed to hear it out loud.

“Emotional Deja Vu. It’s when something we used to enjoy doing with someone, feels wrong because we do it with another person.” (I made that up. It’s probably real, but I wouldn’t know.)

Part 3 of Deja Vu

Storyline:Conor has a surprise for you. Kol pretends. Pretends he’s happy with his marriage and that he’s happy for you. Only he has to be because he’s the one who broke it off. All he can think now is “Good for you”

Kol is at Russos’ with Davina, barley listening to her ramble and verbally disrespect some woman at her job. He occasionally gives hum’s or comments in his usual harsh way to make it appear as if he’s listening.

Sensing another presence he looks up and sees Camille, she places a bourbon on the table and gives him a playful wink. He gives her a nod of appreciation.

He liked her with Nik. This boosted her up his list of people he truly appreciated. Although he couldn’t, for his immortal life understand why she was still a bartender.

She’s a vampire, she could have any other job, yet she stuck with this one. He didn’t fully understand it, but a small part of him did. Having a constant in your life can be very helpful.

He takes a long sip of his bourbon. The bell rings out signaling someone has either come in or just left. But as he softly looks around, he inferences someone just came in.

“Hey Camille, can I get your opinion on something.” Camille nods and they go in the back for a moment. Kol looks over to the bar table and sees your boyfriend. Chad, no Cater.

“Hey, its Conor, wanna go say hi, when he comes back.” Davina says joyfully, as she stops her unheard verbal disrespect. Conor that’s his name. It’s so bland. You could do better.

After a few minutes, everyone in the bar hears a loud squealing noise.

Camille and Conor re-entered the bar, talking quietly. He discreetly put something in his pocket.

After about an hour of sitting and drinking, Kol and Davina left to their New Orleans apartment.

They were only staying for one more week before leaving to San Francisco. He didn’t like it there much. Mostly do to the never changing weather.

He’ll admit, while he did like the sun, he would like for it to rain or snow at least once.

It rarely ever rains. He has to pretend to be okay with that. For Davina’s sake.

*The Next Day*

Kol is headed to the family compound, when he sees Elijah and Hayley heading out.

“Hello brother, did you need something?” Kol shakes his head, before walking towards the gate. Nearly into the compound, Hayley call’s out and stops him.

“No one’s allowed in tonight.” Kol turns towards her, asking why.

“You can’t say anything but, Conor is planning to propose. Isn’t it wonderful.” Kol’s face contorts into one of both aghastment and disdain.

“Is this true, brother?” Kol asks Elijah, hoping, it wasn’t real. But his dead heart shatters, hearing Elijah confirm what Hayley has just said. Elijah has to make sure Kol is ok. With that, they leave.

Kol goes back to his apartment, thinking of all his moments with you. Davina tried to talk to him, but he just ignored her and went to take a shower and get into bed.

He hated that he was acting like this. He was the one who broke up with you, yet he’s more heartbroken. He didn’t understand it.

He hopes, prays to whatever god there is that you would say No.

With that he closed his eyes and slowly drifted off into sleep.

*The Next Day*

Everyone was at the compound, waiting for you as you’d called most of them saying it was urgent.

You walk into the common area and see them. Conor standing beside you.

Camille and Freya question what the emergency was. You turn to Conor quietly asking if he wanted to do *it*. He just replies “It’s all you.”

With that you turn towards everyone and throw up your left hand, showing a beautiful diamond ring. (Pick One you like most. Or make one of your own 👇🏾)

Soon the room is clouded with happy squeal’s and congratulations are thrown around.

Kol slowly sits in a chair nearby, not that anyone noticed.

He realizes that his prayer had not been answered. He zones out of all the ecstatic noise.

Not realizing he’s making a face, or that someone had grabbed him and pulled him off, to a different room.

He feels a harsh smack on his head, snapping him out of his daze. He looks up and sees Klaus.

“She said yes.” Klaus nods, feeling slight pity for his younger brother.

“She never said.” Kol stops himself in a small state of shock and hurt.

“Not when I did that.”

Klaus nods, understanding what he was trying to say.

“The only reason she kept saying no, is because she’s afraid she’d lose you. And herself. Look what happened, she did lose you. Don’t blame her for moving on, the same way you did. Pretending you two had nothing, like you didn’t love each other.”

Now its Kol’s turn to nod, accept the truth. That is exactly what he did. When he died, he’d seen her mourn, try and bring him back. Even when the other side was down, she’d asked some of her witch friends to try and bring him back.

He knew she’d tried everything in her power to get him back. Even when he found himself in a new body, she couldn’t resist him and vice versa.

But his mother forced him to be around Davina, the only reason he was actually flirting with her was to get his mind off of you. And it worked for a while.

“You should congratulate the happy couple.” Kol turns towards Klaus and scoffs incredulously.

“Not bloody likely. I’m not doing it, I won’t.”

“You will, unless you want some witch to find out you still have feelings for the girl you broken up with to be with said witch?” Klaus stated it as a rhetorical question but Kol knows its not. So after a couple of minutes, the two men head back out to the common area.

Kol walks up to you and he notices Conor stands up a bit straighter. He smirks softly.

“Congratulations on the engagement. I wish you both well.” Kol inwardly cringed hearing himself say that, it wasn’t like him.

“Thank you, Kol.”

Storyline: You get married to Conor, you are truly happy. Kol’s suffering the consequences of the choice he made 9 years ago.

Part 4 of Good For You

The preparations for the wedding were hectic but you made it work. You had a medium sized guest list. You made sure to invite Abby, Bonnie’s mom, even though you two weren’t close.

Everyone at the (police) station was invited even Bonnie’s friends, not that you would ever call them that given how they treat her. A month before the wedding, you had trouble picking bridesmaids and a maid of honor.

You had to pick between Camille, Rebekah, Freya or Bonnie. Luckily, Camille offered a simple solution, Bonnie be the maid of honor while the rest of the group be bridesmaids.

Though it was truly the most obvious and logical solution, it still brought tears to your eyes. You had almost crushed her when you two hugged.

After Klaus and Elijah offered insisted on paying for the wedding and everything it entailed, you’d gotten to work. Bride work.

Picking out Maid of honor/Bridesmaids dresses that the girls would like, while also catering to their personal style.

It was a struggle looking for beautiful dresses for the girls, even more for yourself. You knew dress shopping would be hard, but not this hard.

Eventually you found the perfect dress. Once you were done with dress shopping, you and Conor picked out a honeymoon destination and made sure you had an apartment ready for when you got back.

That’s where some young married people make mistakes, they think they’ll be fine after the honeymoon stage. Luckily you both new better.

So you both hunted and bought an apartment together, before you’d gotten married. You two were technically living together, with you always being over his place and having most of your stuff there.

So you compromise, buy a new place bigger for both of your things and live there until you both decide to adopt or foster kids as you had wanted a kid again someday.

*Wedding Day* 7 months later

You, Bonnie and Rebekah are in the Bridal change room.

Rebekah in her Bridesmaid dress, she helps you with your makeup, while Bonnie helps with your hair.

Camille is outside making sure everything is set and ready. She wants everything to go as well as possible. Not perfectly but well enough to at least get to the “I Do” part.

Rebekah was originally going to do the quadruple checking of the wedding but she had to help with your makeup.

When she was done with your makeup, she then left to go help Camille, with the guests.

Bonnie stayed and talked with you about the wedding. Making sure you don’t think about being a runaway bride. You wouldn’t admit it but it helped.

Knowing Conor loves you and you him. You were ready. You are ready to be married, to settle down. You can imagine all the adventures you two would go on.

You then, flipped the script on Bonnie and asked when she was going to get married.

She admitted she wasn’t sure if Enzo was going to propose, and that she was fine with how things were.

Sure, she’d like to get married some day, she just didn’t want anything to ruin what she has with Enzo. That being death or her having to sacrifice her own happiness.

You nodded in understanding before standing up and wiping down your dress.

“Ready?” Bonnie asks, you nod happily.

“I’m ready.” Bonnie hugs you tightly and you both walk out.

*After the “I Do” part *

Kol sits as he watches you dance with your now husband Conor. When the song is over you go over to the bar and get some wine.

Standing up Kol downs the bourbon he has in one large gulp and discreetly rushes over to where you are.

“Congratulations.” You turn your head at Kol’s voice, smiling you thank him.

The two of actually end up having a nice conversation. Until he brings up past memories.

“I remember when you’d told me you were pregnant, I’d just recently gotten home from the hunting trip with Mikael. I was so scared but I was happy, because I knew you would be there with me, I prayed for it. Then Esther… I’m sorry.”

“You can apologize, but it won’t take away from what happened. We lost our child. We lost Thyra. It’s been a thousand years and I still feel myself loosing her all over again. I was happy, I had come to terms with it, and then you broke my heart, You said forever and now that’s gone. I’m happy, I found my forever somewhere else. I know he won’t leave me because he loves me, truly and he appreciates everything I do.”

“Goodbye Kol Mikaelson.” With that, you walk back to Conor finally feeling free of your past. Kol goes back to Davina, pretending everything is ok. That he is fine, like your words didn’t make his heart shatter.

But he also knew that you were right. He did say you would be together forever, you just had two different interpretations of what Forever meant.

*Klaus's POV*

Happily dancing with Camille, I see Kol rush over to Y/N. I sigh sadly and shake my head. I don’t mean to eavesdrop but, when you have supernatural hearing it sort of gains a mind of its own.

Camille and I sit down somewhat exhausted from dancing the night away, though it was very much fun. She stands up to get a drink, but I softly escort her back into the chair and go to the bar to get a water, for the both of us. I turn and see her twisting the daylight ring she has recently moved to her left hand, on her ring finger.

That’s the moment Caroline comes up to me, right as I’m grabbing the lukewarm water.

“Klaus. It’s been a while.”

“Hello love. What can I help you with?” I greet her as I would greet any woman. She then goes onto telling me, how she came to New Orleans looking for me, but I was not there. She then says that “I was not the villain in her story.”

“I was the villain in your story. Just as I was the villain to many others. I admit I had begun to learn how to care more about others when I met you but, that was just a tiny nudge. I was deeply infatuated with you. I didn’t truly love you. Similar to how you say you couldn’t love me. I’m a better person now. Or at least that’s what I’m trying to be. I have three women to thank for that.”

Caroline nods. “Who? Who do you owe your thanks to.”

“Hayley, Camille but most importantly my daughter. Hope. She is the light of my life.”

“I’m glad for you. Who’s Camille?”

“Camille, she is the only person that can understand me. She is my best friend, my confidant. But most importantly she is my Soulmate. I couldn’t have done any of this without her influence. She is the one who inspires goodness in me.” Caroline listens while smiling softly, she then glances over to someone. I turn to see her staring lovingly at Stefan Salvatore. From what I have heard they are engaged. I’m truly happy for my friend.

I smile before bidding Caroline a final goodbye. Heading towards Camille, I set the water down and grab her hand. She glances at me confused.

“I love you, you know that?” She smiles widely. I end up smiling just as wide at her response.

“I love you. So, this is forever.”

“Always.”
