On October 18, 2022, I made this fan art imagining "What if Portishead discovered Ekşi Sözlük (Sour Dictionary), the Turkish social network named after their song 'Sour Times', when it was launched in 1999?". Even though it wasn't 1999, this fan art was the reason Portishead discovered Ekşi Sözlük, as Geoff Barrow reacted it on Twitter short after it was shared there.
I didn't want to re-draw it so far, but exact three years after, on October 18, 2025, I did its remastered version to celebrate the anniversary of the band's historical discovery, as I realized my art style was improved a lot.
And now, as the 27th launch anniversary of Ekşi Sözlük is approaching, I wanted to relive that moment. 💚
