Little Theory about Soupina, the Strange.
From what few we know of Soupina, she only used her magic to make soup. What if that happened after Glossaryck tried to teach her how to "Deep Down"? As we saw in the chapter "My new Wand", he uses a Soup Cauldron as a metaphor for magic. But what if Suopina took this lesson literally? And she really thought "Deep Down" had something to do with soup preparation?
In the "Page Turner" chapter, Glossaryck mentioned that each Mewni Queen had a different training. And each learned to Deep Down at different ages (Moon, 19, and Star, 14).
Perhaps when her mother saw that Soupina was "taking too long", she pressed her. So, Soupina will obsess about the soup in an attempt to learn faster how to Deep Down. And from there they will name her "The Strange", since she was more determined to learn how to prepare soup than to learn about magic.
