I have that soul deep ache that comes from finishing a book. You know the one that settles in somewhere between your heart and lungs and expands until you feel like you can't breathe and your heart hurts like there will never be a moment in your life that won't ache because of this book ever again. And just when you can't stand it anymore, when the gasping feeling begins to consume you, it subsides and gives you a smile and a moment of happiness and peace because despite all the pain and loss and suffering in that story, there was something beautiful and precious in it too. It has changed you, forever.  Then that swelling ache returns and fills you again. Over and over.
