Trying so hard not to drive down the street to get a shower. Our water pump makes a horrifying sound. It terrifies Emmy and so I wash her at the guest house. Grammy is with us at the guest house now, so I don’t want to wake her up unnecessarily early. The sound is like a garbage disposal that is super loud, crunchy, has crescendos and descrescendos, and periodically sounds like it’s going to take off or come in for a landing. It sounds like it runs every gallon or 3, it runs every 30 seconds or so. We didn’t know about this sound before moving in. It seems to have been intentionally kept from our knowledge before moving in, although I prayed that was not the case, but apparently everybody knew about it and just didn’t think the new family with the two-year-old would care...
