Essentially, they infested his body and now he shared a body with like. 6 parasites who each do different things depending on the kind of situation he's in + what they're familiar with.

He's been brought up in an apocalypse his whole life, so he's not the most normal, but who would be!

There's a couple of reposts in here but for a good reason- they were meant to eventually string together to capture a specific little bit of backstory for Belphe as a kid. But, since all of these sketches are all out of order and also old, I'll probably want to redraw them entirely if I ever did want to finish that little sequence. (How old? Well that first sketch at the top doesn't even have his third eye in the design yet.....)
