Trying to derail the topic away from naruto to real world situations just because the two are similar is frankly stupid and makes little sense. Like just say you’re trying to end the discussion because any sort of criticism pertaining to relevant crimes against humanity and history makes you uncomfortable. I speak and am aware about world issues. What’s ironic is that it’s people who can identify that genocide even in fiction is wrong and a harmful trope to use if the victims are portrayed as inherently evil that are more likely to speak up about it happening today.
In reality, Naruto as a show openly criticises and questions capitalism (gato), human experimentation, the horrors of war, so why is it so surprising that people will point out genocide? Like, I can’t believe it’s a surprising take to think genocide is bad😭
