It seems to me every time I go to NYC of other cities and universities to see dance programs and companies perform, the dancing in the performances looks truly nothing like what competition dancers we watch do. The choreography is drastically different, nothing like what we watch on social media and theres no extreme flexibility or tricks. What are littledancers being trained to dance for if professional companies dont dance anything like them?Shouldnt they be preparing for what real dancers do?
i think youre probably looking at “modern” dance companies, that seems to be poopular for adults! honestly you do have a point! These kids could just be trained for competition dance! and then become teachers for comp kids! (altho im sure they all take classes in other styles like modern and contemporary of course) just because and activity doesnt go on until adulthood doesnt mean it’s pointless to do it! it’s fun! also there are lots of colleges who have dance teams as a opposed to companies where they still train this style and compete against other schools!
truly, working these last couple days has taught me: i am not too sure what’s going on.. but there’s nothing i can do, but let things be. so i will. literally just breathe and vibe. i cant control everything and it’s best to accept everything for what it is and what it isn’t.
another thing, my own company really isn’t all that bad. i haven’t talked to anyone a whole bunch lately. just playing my games and watching my favorite shit is so fun. i’m not like- pressed about not talking to people like usual. i’d get upset, get sad and like- feel terrible. but i’m honestly okay.. like truly okay. which is interesting? picking myself first? idk.
overall, there’s been some sort of.. switch. and although it is an adjustment, i’m working with the change rather than against it. but i am also thinking this is what is triggering my ghost. because i’m getting so okay and comfortable, im not even actively trying to reach out to anyone. i need to change that. more so for the ones that matter the most.

THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH LOVELLYYYY!!!!!!! SOOO I sorta did my own version that I called Nanowrimo for Rpers ;)!! BASICALLY, I added up my word count of role play posts I made that day !!! My goal each day was 2k!!! So it worked out well cause some days I hit that, some days I hit more, and some days I totally didn’t get there!!! I am REALLYY bad at writing fics!! AHHAH! But still wanted to somehow participate so I made up by own rules and such with the ultimate goal still being 50k!!!!!! THANKS FOR THE COMMENT @brokeneisenglas !!! LOVE YOU MUCHLY!!!!! <3
