Longing
I couldn’t finish anything for the ereri-week in time and didn’t want to do nothing- so here’s a short something i wrote!

This is just some random au where Eren and Levi are somewhere in their 20s and enjoy life~
Eren works abroad very often. Sometimes he’s gone only for a few days, sometimes for a week or two or three. Levi is left back at home alone.
They videochat several times a day and call each other even more often.
Eren keeps showing Levi the new places he gets to visit and promises to take him there one day too.
Eren is the one missing Levi so badly. He constantly keeps telling him that and keeps reminding him of how much he loves him.
While Eren isn’t home, Levi often finds himself wearing Eren’s big, comfy hoodies which easily reach the middle of his thighs. He doesn’t bother to wear anything else underneath.
When Eren is in a meeting or can’t talk, Levi distracts himself with cleaning the already spotless apartment or rearrange a few things to his liking.
Levi secretly misses Eren a lot too but is too proud to admit that. He waits for hours to get a call back or message and is ever so happy to hear his boyfriend is making good progress with his work.
He still looks and sounds indifferent and bored at the phone but Eren knows him well enough to hear the smile behind each of his words.
“Make sure to not get under a bus.” Is Levi’s way of telling him “Take care.” or “I love you.”
Just after a week, it gets too much for Levi and he starts being the one bombarding Eren’s phone with texts and calls. He just wants to have his boyfriend back again.
He does miss him a whole lot and it doesn’t change, no matter how many times Eren went on a business trip before. He can’t get used to not having him by his side.
When Eren is finally back, it’s time for cuddles and smooches. They spend a solid two hours, at least, not doing anything but snuggling each other in the warmth of their shared bed.
Levi often lays on Eren’s chest and listens to his heartbeat (and vice versa) while the brunet tells stories about his time abroad.
Eren loves it to have people playing with his hair, while Levi likes to braid and comb it with his fingers. A perfect match.
Eren often forgets to shave over the time he’s gone and Levi does not appreciate that disgusting hair on Eren’s usually smooth face. But it doesn’t stop him from showing affection. Most of the time, at least.
They share soft, sweet pecks or go for it and take it wilder if they missed each other too bad.
Eren loves giving Levi many forehead and nose kisses and caressing his smaller but muscular body with his large hands. He likes exploring every dip and curve of Levi’s body over and over again.
Most of the time, Levi ends up falling asleep first, so Eren likes to smother his sleeping form with kisses and whispers of sweet nothings.
At times, Levi acts like he already fell asleep only to hear Eren saying all these wonderful things. Eren knows, but doesn’t mention it.
They long for each other’s company too much and usually take the next day off to do something together.
The only time for them both to get a peaceful sleep is in each other’s arms.
