Sony Computer Entertainment, Inc. is a video game company which is specialized in various areas of the video game industry and it is a Japanese multinational company, owned subsidiary & part of the Services Group and Consumer Products of Sony. Sony Computer Entertainment is also abbreviated as SCEI, it was founded on 16th of November, 1993 in Tokyo, Japan, preceding the PlayStation video game system launch.

 Sony Computer Entertainment handles the sales of hardware and software, production, and research and development for the home console video game systems that is PlayStation line of handheld. SCEI is also a publisher and developer of video game titles & is composed of many subsidiaries covering company's largest markets: Asia, Europe and North America. SCE has been launched its PlayStation game consoles, the games publish for it are easily available on freezone360 website and can be downloaded for free, moreover, there were also games for PC and android as well. The largest workforce of Sony Computer Entertainment is in the United States, it has eight thousand employees in 50+ countries. As of 31st of March, 2015, the company has sold 458+ million consoles.

Sony Computer Entertainment, Inc. History 2012:

BigBig Studios was closed in the month of January 2012 and the Cambridge Studio renamed Guerrilla Cambridge which become a sister studio of the Guerrilla Games. The Zipper Interactive in the month of March 2012, SOCOM series developers MAG & Unit 13 was closed. Hirai retired on 25th of June, 2012, as the chairman of SCE; but he remains on the board of directors. The company acquired Gaikai, on 2nd of July, 2012 which is a cloud-based gaming service. The Sony Liverpool developer of the Formula One and Wipeout series was closed on 2nd July, 2012.

On August 20, 2013, a press release had been published announcing PlayStation 4 console release date. On the same day Sony Computer Entertainment introduced CUH-1000A series system announcing 15 November, 2013 as a launch date for North American markets & 29 November, 2013, for  Australian, European, New Zealand Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Colombia, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Panama, Peru and Mexico markets.

Following the Chinese government's January 2014 announcement which contains that country's fourteen-year game console ban would be lifted, PlayStation 4 is then scheduled to be first Sony video game console legally and officially released in China since PS2 (PlayStation 2) because the ban was approved in the year 2000 to protect young people's mental health.

Sony Computer Entertainment America's branch CEO and President Tretton, announced he resigning citing a mutual agreement between himself & SCEA for his contract cessation. Tretton worked at Sony Computer Entertainment since the year 1995, & he was also a founding member of executive team of the company. Tretton was involved in launch of all the PlayStation platforms in North America, including PS Portable, PSone, PS 2, PS 3, PS Vita, PS 4 and PS Network. He was replaced by Shawn Layden, the chief operating officer (COO) and vice-president of SCEI, effective 1 April, 2014.
