I decided to clean up the little sketch I made based on @ivystoryweaver ‘s latest fic. I thought it was fantastic and I might just go reread it a couple more times. My next thing I want to work on is getting better at shading. I tend to do easy shading vs advanced rendering and I really want to get better at rendering in general.

I went to support my friend who was competing in an art battle. 3 rounds of speed painting, 20 min time limit, so many talented artists. It was really fun and I bought myself a new sketchbook.

Here is a little speedpaint that I did in December. I got this beautiful, magical, extraordinary knit coat for Christmas from my husband. We were at the Bristol Renaissance Faire, and I stopped by this artisan booth and fell head over heels in love with this coat.

I couldn't bring myself to buy it because it was so expensive. Then my husband, under the guise of looking at knives, snuck back to the shop and purchased the coat for me.
