Why do I keep thinking of you?
Trying my damn near hardest to keep myself busy but I find myself crawling back to you.
Remembering what we had, you made me the happiest of all, but in the matter of seconds our tempers could clash making me feel like I'm fighting for my life.
Yes, we were young and dumb. I forgave you one too many times, as you forgave me one to many times. I never wanted things to be this way, but we can't all get what we want at the end of the day.
I guess it's just hard bc you were my safe place. Well now what?
I have yet to find that comfort you once gave me, almost sounds silly to say but you really did help and bring joy along the way. You know my deepest darkest secrets as well as 2 other people but no one ever reacted the way you did. You listened to me, I mean really listened to me and yes, we were just kids.
We were young and dumb.
How could we have known better that we could make each other feel so numb.
