The war could have started to end there. Diplomacy had opened a door, but Russia chose a different path.
Over the past year, Russia has not agreed to a single peace proposal. Not once. Instead of taking steps towards peace, it continued its strikes against civilians. In that same year alone, 388,360 Russian soldiers were killed or wounded β more than a thousand soldiers a day.
