What on earth is this witchcraft from Yuzu. What on earth.
My take away from the women's event is that getting zero points on doubles in the short feels cruel. Even if you got a ding for a double in the short, you should be able to get something.
Also I don't care about time schedules. A handful of people not making the free also feels cruel. Especially when the double rule is what kills them.
Imagine the top two European women both coming back from crazy injuries to end up on top of the podium

:( I recently realized that I am one of the few people not on the Kevin aymoz train. Straight up did not realize how popular he still is.
Genuinely the only program of his that I've liked in this quad is Bolero. It's exactly my cup of tea when it comes to that music and I'm glad to see it back, and if he has to win a GP gold then I'm glad it's with that program.
Everything else... well, starting with the fact that he's still with Fontana is just dumb and thoughtless from him at best. I hate seeing that woman in the k&c (especially when the two of them start crying to each other, it's a gp medal it's not that deep, my AAAHH WAAAH post wasn't meant to be a compliment to him) she should be banned from the sport. And the fact that he's still there after years... it's not a good look.
His skating specifically, apart from Bolero which I think I like because it's a bit like Carolina's just much more aggressive, I really don't like that he's taken the route of posing and gimmicking in his programs like most people. I think he has the skill to do an actual step sequence, he just doesn't want to because these days serving will get you a level 4 just as a classic stsq will, perhaps with a larger GOE even
CHINA GETS A PAIRS SPOT THANK GOD
Ilia on communicating with Shoma backstage ☺️
He's a good kid and I love the friendly atmosphere skaters nowadays have - rivals on ice vs. friends of ice !
