Something To Do With My Hands
Ā It is finally that time. We are finally releasing this record. It has been a long time coming, but I think yāall are really going to like what you hear. I have been out on the road quite a bit over the last year and I wanted to give you insight as to where each of the songs on the album came from, so I thought I would tell you some new things about the songs you are going to hear. These are some of my personal stories, reasons for writing these songs, and just what my thoughts were when writing these songs.
Ā Something To Do With My Hands- This is the first song most of yāall heard from me on the radio. When I wrote this song I hated golf. The line, āgolf not a fan,ā is obviously not true anymore because I am a huge golf fan. This song came from writing with Chris Stapleton and Lee Miller. We started the session looking for titles that we had on our phones. Lee brought out this title and we starting writing this song and it just came out and turned into this sort of quick, funny song about doing something with your hands.
Ā Thank you for being great fans. The wait is almost over and the record is done. I canāt wait for you to hear it on October 29. See you out on the road!
