It is Late Summer (early September counts) and the time of year when people discover that they cannot reasonably consume the metric ton of (insert fruit or veggie here, i.e. zucchini) that their reckless spring planting is producing in its adulthood. Thus it is also the time of year when anonymous piles of said produce appear randomly in the Common areas of the workplace, festooned with bright, hand lettered signs begging the rest of us to please for the love of god take some of this home because it already engulfed the house and this is what I plowed off the driveway to get here.
