Happy Memorial DayThanks for reading Elizabeth Dare Andes - The Garden of My Body!
Elizabeth Dare Andes
As modern humans, we are becoming somatically psychic.
We are intuitively absorbing a lot more than we are consciously aware of and that is shaping our bodies, behaviour and beliefs.
Rather than meet the looming dread, there is a tendency to harden, close off And ignore what we find too overwhelming to face.
We cannot summon the creative agency needed from either the default mode of the Monkeymind or the task oriented, interoceptively numbed body.
We can introduce a variety of small somatic movement interventions to achieve immediate, temporary relief that, overtime will create more permanent change.
These changes create the capacity to host nuance and fear without becoming overwhelmed and enable us to act from our vital centre and respond innovatively. Then we set the temporary energy changes with facial training to re-weave the fabric that defines us.
