Solvay Conferences (French: Conseils Solvay)
5th Solvay Conference on Physics, 1927
Perhaps the most famous conference was the fifth Solvay Conference on Physics. The subject was Electrons and Photons and the world's most notable physicists met to discuss the newly formulated quantum theory. The leading figures were Albert Einstein and Niels Bohr.
Einstein disliked quantum uncertainty and quoted "God does not play dice," Bohr answered, "Einstein, stop telling God what to do." - https://history.aip.org/exhibits/einstein/ae63.htm
