Excerpt:

Turning his head back to Harry, Malfoy's face came dangerously close, and they regarded each other with the same careful scrutiny as if they were meeting for the first time. Perhaps it was a shred of courage, or maybe foolishness, that made Harry lean in and kiss him.

Malfoy’s lips were cold, the edges slightly chapped. Before Harry could explore them further, Malfoy jerked away, eyes wide and mouth agape. For a second, Harry feared he would punch him, hex him, or simply stand and go, but instead, Malfoy darted his gaze from Harry's eyes to his mouth a few times, looking hesitant. The next second, his mouth crashed against Harry's with such fierceness that Harry fell backwards onto his arse, the wet grass soaking his trousers as his lips soaked up Malfoy's fervour.

Just like that, in that infinitesimal space of time, Malfoy became Draco, and Harry knew he would never be able to call him anything else again.

The wind kept blowing strands of Harry's long black hair across his face. Draco gently brushed them away and tucked them behind his ear. His fingers lingered there for a moment before slowly sliding down Harry's neck, exactly where Harry felt his pulse racing. He lost track of time during their kiss, only aware of Draco's tongue exploring his mouth, the soft hands holding him tightly, and Draco's dazzling scent, taste, and touch.

Draco finally drew back, his expression one that Harry had never seen before and couldn't quite decipher. At that moment, Harry wasn't sure if he wanted to understand or if anything was even real—the landscape, the grass beneath him, the constellations overhead. Draco, himself.

A stubborn strand of hair fell across his face once more, tickling his cheek; a subtle reminder that everything was, indeed, very real. This time, Draco didn't brush it away. He simply said, "Happy birthday, Potter," before striding quickly back to the camp.

It’s Brokeback Mountain inspired—but better because 1) it’s Drarry and most importantly 2) such a captivating, vivid world-building and story-telling! So achingly-good and will leave you tender.
