Love yourself more
I stopped trying to date a few years back. I had given up on love for many reasons; heart break and insecurities being the biggest factors.
A few months ago, I finally forgave the man who broke my heart years ago. I never fully recovered from that but I’ve learned over the years how to cope and how to be myself again. How to love myself when he couldn’t. And just recently I’ve been learning to love myself. To really embrace my flaws and love every part of who I am and what makes me, me.
I decided that maybe I could give dating a chance again. I find myself in a much better place than I was even just six months ago. And it’s crazy how much loving yourself and having such a positive outlook on who you are will attract people who in turn love you for you.
It’s no secret I’ve gained weight since my dad died. And I can’t seem to shake this weight (haha.) And of course that has added to my insecurities. But more and more guys who are interested in me are due to my “flaws” or my insecurities.
I’m very excited for what Love has in store for me these coming months

Lol, no, she’s a great friend. She’s just easily influenced when it comes to reality shows. I guarantee if I had shown her all of the photos from every girl in Cycle 9 without any outside influence/opinions, Saleisha wouldn’t even be on her radar. And it’s not really tough. I just accept that she stans for Saleisha, and don’t push the topic any further. I do adamantly refuse to watch Cycle 9 with her, though, because I will not sit there as she tries to convince me that Saleisha was the best.
