➝ Ed’s Lobster Bar || Blind Date
Ryan wasn’t so sure about this whole blind date thing to begin with. He wasn’t sure what he was looking for, or who he’d end up being paired with but he figured it wouldn’t hurt to try. For all he knew, he could get paired with some super awesome person and end up happier than a clam. Realistically, he knew not to set any expectations in order to prevent getting let down. At this point, he was just hoping for a decent night. He trusted the system to at least try to make pairs that suited each other well enough to have a good night. Once he received the card with the vague details on it, he was left still feeling pretty apprehensive. He’d never heard of a ‘Eds Lobster Bar’ but, after a quick google search he was relieved to at least know that people seemed to like the food. Other than that, he didn’t know much about the place and hoped that he wasn’t going to regret doing this.
Getting ready was a whole other story. The card gave no indication of how formal the location it was. His googling wasn’t terribly helpful in that department either so after some internal debate he decided to just wing it. After showering and spending a good twenty minutes styling his hair, Ryan sprayed a little cologne and headed over to his closet. He ended up settling on a pair of dark jeans, and a button up shirt. Once he had that part out of the way, he grabbed his wallet and keys before slipping on a pair of shoes and a leather jacket. Finally out the door, he made his way to the parking lot where he got into his red Ferrari and headed over to the restaurant.
Once he arrived, Ryan parked near by and walked over to the sign reading the name of the location. Outside, he spotted a flower stand and decided to pick up a dozen long-stem pink roses. Finally he was standing outside the lobster bar, and his nose wrinkled distastefully. The outside of the restaurant was kind of sketchy. The building itself was tiny had stains long it and graffiti next door. To top it off, there was a stairwell right in front of it that lead to a massage business right below it. Groaning, Ryan walked inside. Luckily is was much cleaner inside, and despite the small space, it was cute in it’s own way. Spotting an open table in the back corner, he sat there, and looked around to be sure his pair hadn’t beat him there.
