Many startups and business are being doomed right from the start. Have you experienced that in your business while developing your application software? That seems to be the case in many of the projects and they don't seem to work as they should.
Software is an integral part of the business in this changing world and if that is right, the last thing you would want is the failure of the software or a buggy software that could just bring down you business and well as cost you a ton load of money.
Word for Mac never ceases to amaze me. For some reason, its cross-reference function totally destroys your formatting. But not right when you enter a cross-reference, oh no, that would be too easy. No, it destroys your formatting (converting double spaced to single spaced, inserting random line breaks) when you try to print (or print to PDF) your completed, perfect-looking document.Â
When you're incredibly inspired to write something new in a DAW, but you end up spending all day fixing tech issues and chasing down software gremlins:
Update: Zonelabs informiert.

littlepinkbeast asked asktheimprobableinvestigators: So, the Therac 25. How the hell did that kind of problem ever make it into a production system?
AAAH, SEE, NOW, THATâS MY KIND OF QUESTION. GODDAMN LINEAR ACCELERATORS. SO COOL AND SO FREAKY AT THE SAME TIME.
THE PROBLEM WITH THE THERAC SOFTWAREâONE OF THE PROBLEMSâWAS THAT IT DIDNâT TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION THE POTENTIAL RESULT OF OPERATORS EDITING ALREADY-INPUT DATA AT RAPID SPEEDS WHILE USING THE CONSOLE, SO THE DESIGNERS NEVER ADDED A FEATURE MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE FOR THE MACHINE TO TURN ON THE BEAM WHEN TWO SEPARATE MODE/ENERGY SETTINGS DISAGREE.
IT WORKED LIKE THIS. THE SUBROUTINE OF THE âTREATâ TASK RESPONSIBLE FOR DATA ENTRY TALKED TO THE KEYBOARD HANDLER TASK WHICH RECOGNIZES WHEN ENTRY IS COMPLETE AND TELLS THE DATA ENTRY SUBROUTINE, WHICH CHANGES THE SYSTEM FROM DATA ENTRY TO THE NEXT PHASE AND THEN EXITS BACK TO THE TREAT TASK.
THE SCHEDULING OF ALL THIS TINY CODE SHIT IS SUCH THAT, UNDER THE RIGHT CIRCUMSTANCES, IT IS POSSIBLE FOR THE SOFTWARE TO NOT RECOGNIZE EDITS MADE TO THE DATA ENTERED.
WHEN THE OPERATOR WAS TYPING IN THE PRESCRIPTION DATA, SHE INITIALLY ENTERED X-RAY FOR THE TREATMENT MODE WHEN SHE MEANT TO INDICATE ELECTRON MODE. SHE HAD BEEN ENTERING PRESCRIPTIONS ON THIS MACHINE FOR A LONG TIME SO SHE WAS PRETTY FAST AT TYPING IN THE DATA. SHE NOTICED THE ERROR AFTER SHE HAD FINISHED AND USED THE CURSOR UP ARROW KEY TO RETURN TO THAT BOX AND CHANGE THE TREATMENT MODE TO ELECTRON, THEN HIT ENTER SEVERAL TIMES TO RETURN TO THE BOTTOM OF THE SCREEN, WITH THE CURSOR ON THE COMMAND LINE.
