* Talk about Your Muse - Sleep Headcanon, Anger Headcanon

Levant’s sleeping route starts simply by lying on her back and pulling the covers over herself. She then straightens her legs and brings her arms to her sides. And then she closes her eyes to fall asleep. She is still when in the grip of Morpheus with barely a rise of her chest to show that she’s still among the living. Despite how still and quiet she gets, Lev is a light sleeper and will awaken to the slightest sound of footsteps in her vicinity. 

Leet sleeps sprawled out with limbs all over the place. Usually, her tablet is resting somewhere nearby or being used as a pillow. If it’s the latter, it usually doesn’t stay that way for long, and Leet is usually tucked in and sleeping underneath the covers with the lights out and enveloped in more shadows than is probably natural. She too is a light sleeper to the same degree as Levant, but as of late, not even the loudest of noises will wake her in the middle of sleep.

“Your hair.” That goes without question. He’s always liked Vi’s hair. It’s soft, it’s shiny, it’s well-maintained. Fun to play with. Perfect, just like the rest of him. So perfect. 

“Your smile,” he adds, pulling Vi closer. He felt lucky to be able to see it so often. He would do anything to keep seeing it. Just… Just to know that Vi was happy. That’s all he wanted. The only thing he wanted.

He’s got Vi settled in his lap. It’s a common position for them, especially on clear nights like this. Settled in the bay window, the stars shining overhead… It’s nice. He could look out the window and see forever. … He could look down to Vi and see the same. (Maybe that was a bit too sappy of him. Oh well. It was true.) 

He’s not used to this. To being happy. It’s strange. It’s nice. He loves it. He loves Vi. He holds Vi closer and smushes his face into that soft black hair. It smells like flowers. He’s not entirely sure which ones, but he’s sure Vi could tell him all about it if he were to ask. He’s comfortable. He thinks he hears Vi humming. He sits back and tilts his head just enough to look at Vi. And then he’s being kissed. And he’s kissing back. 

He’s not used to being happy.

Part of you is gripped by the fear that you’ll launch into something and completely mess it up. The upside of this is wise caution: people are indeed often too rash, whereas you know, by instinct, that holding back can save you. Probably, you feel shame and self-disgust a bit too much. Oh! He actually seems to relax when he hears those names. That’s good. He must like them quite a bit. Tension drains from his shoulders, and his jaw relaxes. He nods to himself, staring at nothing before he finally speaks.

“Those two,” he begins, “Are more trouble than I thought they’d be, Mona especially. … But they get it from me.” He grins to himself. “So I can’t blame them. I wouldn’t change them, either. They’re good kids, at heart, and being normal is for losers.” He’d say something more assertive, but, he is talking about his own children. There’s a very strong part of him that’s urging to be a better role model. They deserve better. So he’ll try to be better. He’ll try. 

“They’re so different, too. My brother and I… We’re probably more alike than either of us wants to admit, so I don’t know how those two wound up being polar opposites.” He shrugs. “But they get along, which is better than we do, sometimes, so maybe that’s the key.” 

“Either way. They’re mine. And I’d do anything for them - anything to keep them safe.” He leans in close and bares his teeth in a snarl.

    He hates summertime in Tokyo. He’s from Osaka, which is just as warm, but ever since he’s relocated to Hokkaido he’s been accustomed to the cold weather and the resulting fashion that he can’t don in this unbearable heat. All the buildings reflect the warmth and insulates the concrete into one huge sauna.

     So he lounges beside this rich kid he barely knows and watches sweat roil over his forearm, magnifying the ink beneath his skin in that tiny droplet. His back is sticky on the poolside chair and he squints at Vi, jealous of his seemingly dry skin.
