Nightmare parasite blog has been made! It is in its earliest stages, so it doesn't look so good right now, but I'll be working on it as the series continues. Omegaverse: The Truth
About a year ago, I had a very sudden realization about the omegaverse genre. One that changed my perspective about how the omegaverse truly worked. I've been wanting to share this for a while, so here goes nothing. The people in the omegaverse are not wolf people but are instead insect people. Let me explain. In the omegaverse genre, it is common for things like scent to be used in order to communicate one's readiness for sex, this is not a trait that wolves, or even most land animals, have. This is, however, a trait that insects have. It's called pheromones, and it's something that almost all insects have. Next is how breeding works in the omegaverse, namely how betas and omegas can't breed with each other. You see omegas can only breed with alphas. Now, this wouldn't be so big of a deal, but alphas themselves cannot effectively breed with betas. An alpha can't get a beta pregnant. This, to me, signifies some type of special differiation one not found in wolves or any mammals for that matter. A special differiation that would make more sense for insects rather than mammals. And I think I'm right cause A/B/O societal structures kind of supports this. Alpha and omegas are meant to be together in order to make more offspring. Omegas are fertile, and Alphas are well dominant. Omegas are the queens of the hive, and Alphas are the males breeding with the queens and keeping the hive running. Now, what does that make betas? Workers, of course, they are are the most common and normal out of the three, so it makes sense for them to just be everyday people working under a hive. It all makes sense, and it makes even more sense when you realize that real-life wolves don't even act like this. Wolves live in familiar packs, aka a family unit. While there are variations, I doubt it gets that varied. If we're being honest here, the structure presented in the Omegaverse genre is more like hyenas than anything else. But even hyenas don't have this much differiation between the ranks, so it makes more sense for them to be insect people above all else. So yeah, that's my argument.
(On an actual serious note, I always thought the Omegaverse rules were weird, like it really does feel like the Alphas and the Omegas are just not human and like betas are just add-ons. Like I get that you just want your silly little shipping fantasy, but can you at least not make it so painfully obvious that the only two group types that actually matter are the OwO babies and toxic badass, lol).
Mad Musings: Transgressive Fiction and Possible Racism
Okay, so just hear me out for a second. I've been trying to get into transgressive fiction lately and learn more about the community surrounding it and something just kept bugging me. Amongst all the posts about anti-censorship, SA, and book recommendations, a weird feeling kept nagging me. A feeling that might get me flogged by the entire transgressive fiction community for being "too sensitive" but I'm going to share it anyway cause I'm curious.
Is it just me, or is the transgressive fiction community very fucking white? Like every notable author on the Wikipedia page for genre, barring Ryū Murakami cause he's Japanese, is just some flavor of white. Now granted this is Wikipedia and people on here do recommend work from authors not on that list, but even with that caveat I still find the majority of authors recommended to be white. I only found one list on reddit that included BIPOC authors and that list was someone asking for more BIPOC authors to read. Like maybe I'm going crazy here, but don't you guys think for community about shedding a light on the worse of humanity and giving voices to those outcasted by polite society there would be more BIPOC authors well known in the community. Talked about as much as Dennis Cooper and Marquis de Sade. Not just brought up when it's a certain month or used to win an argument. I know I'm not that deep into the transgressive fiction rabbit hole yet, I only have Apocalypse Culture by Adam Parfrey in my reading grips so far, so maybe I'm just experiencing the normal everyday shock that comes when learning about this genre but I don't' know, I can't shake this gut feeling that some white shenanigans are afoot.
Also, side tangent kind of, but did the transgressive scene have an actual legitimate problem with racism? I read Steve Albini tweets reflecting on his time in the underground and he mentioned that a lot of those people actually believed that most of those issues were solved already which is kind of like the number one reason conservatives use nowadays to justify doing racist shit. So, was this a problem? Be honest, don't try to play that "they were doing to mock racist actually" cause even still that can be harmful to BIPOC if done incorrectly and without proper consideration of our feelings.

I will be adding MDNI to the bio of all my accounts soon. This is because not only am I an adult and don't really want to be interacting with teenagers but also because while I do try to keep most of my accounts SFW (barring my Furaffinity account cause that one is explicitly NSFW) many things have slipped through the cracks, namely artwork with artistic nudity and guro. I don't think teenagers should be exposed to that type of stuff even if it's not explicitly nsfw. Moving forward, I will get into the habit of checking bios more often to make sure I only like and reblog posts from other adults. Thank you guys for reading, and I hope you understand my decision.

Ah, that's mainly cause of Tumblr's new layout. Back when I made my carrd, Tumblr actually sent you to the person's decorated blog and not the little preview thing or whatever you call it. My carrd is there on my decorated blog, the option being titled "obituary" cause I gotta be edgy. I tried to put it in my bio, but that didn't work, so I'm going to see if adding it to my pinned post will. Sorry about that.
With this trend of MLP infection AUs going on, do you guys think I should make my AU more like one? I mean, I already have most of what I need for an infection AU with my take on how The Nightmare works, so I think it might be a good idea. Also, I think it might help me focus on what the AU should be and help me differentiate it from my other AUs. Just let me know what you guys think.
I need to go back to my old school guro roots.
