I found my sketchbook from high school, around 2017-2018. We were supposed to do warm-up drawings every morning, and prompts would be provided if we weren't feeling very creative that day. Looking back on it, some of this stuff actually holds up well compared to today. With limitations put in place, I also seemed more willing to experiment and get weird with it. Like the first drawing, which was done without a prompt in mind. It's a dragon playing basketball!!!!1!!! Peak performance of my career, tbh. Also some weird little critter. Like a duck? I don't remember what that was based off of. Probably something I saw one of my classmates had or was also drawing. And then, responding to the prompt "You're an inventor, draw your new invention(s)", Eco-bottles. I suppose in addition to an inventor I was also a magician, because these things are straight up magic. Partly based on terrariums and ships in bottles, I think it was supposed to be like a small dimension where the animal inside could live while you looked at it? Like transparent pokeballs. Whatever the case, there's a soft-shell turtle, a mantis, a snake, a Tanystropheus, a Tyrannosaurs (in the desert, for some reason), and a whole menagerie of abyssal animals. Cute enough that I might give them life in color, one of these days.

Bored with normal food? Check out this joint. They serve an exquisite giant salamander soup that is to die for. Add in white rice for the ultimate combo.
For main course, make sure to order the restaurant's specialty: soft-shelled turtle. Pure gelatinous wonder!
Boozehound Says: Our pal dug up this archaic Maotai from his cellar. This saucy liquor from the 80's seemed a little weird on its own, but went surprisingly well with the soft-shelled turtle dish.
