“You died, Stiles.”

Stiles shrugs. “Nearly died, Derek. Nearly.”

“You weren’t breathing. You were turning grey.”

Stiles makes a sound like a wet fart. He waves a dismissive hand and rolls his eyes for good measure. “Whatever.”

Derek tries again because this is important. “Your skin was cold. Your heart stopped beating.” Derek blinks rapidly and to his horror he’s blinking back tears. “You didn’t nearly die. You died.”

He takes a deep, shaky breath and waits for Stiles to say something, anything.

I think when prmpted he’d say something as silly as height doesn’t matter but I headcanon he has a weak spot for short girls strictly for power dynamic purposes. Like he loves being able to tower over his s/o and drag them around and such. (But also he high key just finds it adorable??) Like a smol woman would just ignite the whole need to protecc which I think Reiji definitely has because of his previously explained caregiver tendencies. He wants to be relied on. He wants to be of use. And I think someone on the shorter side just gives more of a helplessness type of vibe. He’s got a full 10 inches on Yui! 

I think you’re right in saying he likes genuine women. I feel that regardless of her attitude, so long as she’s genuine and sincere about what she’s saying then he can respect that.
