Sofia’s Birthday Gifts [ @sofiaquitecontrary ]

On the day of his lovely wife’s birthday, Luke had previously gone quite wild with his gift-giving. He’s given her dozens upon dozens of flowers one year. On another, he’d given her plenty of gifts to symbolize his love and appreciation for her. However, this year was slightly different. With a toddler and a newborn, getting together something intricate like previous years was just a bit too difficult. So, Luke did his best to make up for it.

He tasked Mia with drawing up a birthday card for her mom. While Mia’s scribbles lead to some questioning about artistic intent, Luke accepted the work nonetheless and praised his daughter for her hard work. On the inside, he wrote a kind note about the many things he loved about his wife, including her ability to be the best mother around. He also picked up a large bouquet of pink roses to present to Sofia with the rest of the gifts. He picked out a necklace with a ruby stone (admittedly, Luke’s favorite) that almost looked like a crown. Perfect for his queen.

[ ✉ ] — Dirk looks down at the address printed on the package he held, and then up to the grandiose manor that loomed before him. He blinks and arches a brow. Uncertain green eyes shift back to the package, and then to the manor once more. Huh. Apparently, this was the place... 

Must be nice to live in such a fancy home. To have everything handed to you, and not have to work for the things you need in life... ‘course, the person living here could be one of those self-made rich types, too. Maybe Dirk could be one of those someday.

If he ever figured out what the hell he wanted to do with his life, that is.

Okay, maybe Margaret went a little bit overboard with the gifts for the new baby, but she couldn’t help it! Ever since Sofia had announced her pregnancy, Meg just knew it’d be a girl! And so, since that moment she had been shopping around online for only the cutest clothes for the new baby. She wrapped them all neatly into a very large bag so that Sofia and Luke wouldn’t have to worry about so many bags. Meg made sure to include some cute dresses for photos, a winter dress, and a cute playtime outfit. Jake called her gift “a bit much” but hey, Meg couldn’t let a girl go unfashionable on the island, let alone a cute baby! Though, thinking about the baby’s arrival and shopping for clothes was giving the elf some major baby fever... Best not to tell Jake...

[ Baby Shower Gifts ]

[♫] — Max refused to attend his cousin’s baby shower empty-handed, so along with picking up the delivery for the custom-made music box he ordered a few days beforehand, he ended up stopping by the store after work, and picking out a few more gifts he felt both Mia and her parents would appreciate.

The activity mat was a bit too large for him to be carting in (of course, that’s what his assistants were for), but he was sure Sofia and Luke would love it as much as the music box and two animal-themed bath towels he brought.

He wished the two a healthy and happy birth. Come soon, little Mia!

Extra. That’s what some people would call Luke. However, Luke simply considered himself a loving husband who had a wife far out of his league. She had already given him the miracle of a daughter, and now they were expecting another bundle of joy. Normally, Luke would have put together a fancy dinner with expensive wine for his beloved wife, but with her pregnancy limiting what she could eat, Luke decided to switch it up. 

After adorning their bedroom with over 200 roses (240, to be exact), Luke put together a nice hot cocoa and s’mores camp right by their fireplace. It was perfect for combating the cold weather of winter, anyways. Dinner would be pizza with whatever Sofia wanted on it, and Mia was old enough that they didn’t have to keep an eye on her at all times. Her play pen was set up in the living room within chaperoning view, just in case. 

Now, all he had to do was wait for Sofia to come home and surprise her~

Christmas Gifts For The Wife | Sofia&Luke

This Christmas was one spent as a family, with Luke happy to see his wife and daughter happily sitting by the tree. Just some time ago, Luke was proposing to Sofia on the same night, and now here they were... Time really did fly by, didn’t it?  For his wife, Luke put a lot of thought into what to get her this year. He really had to think about what it was that Sofia loved. 

The first gift was a matching outfit set for Sofia and Mia, since Mia was something Sofia loved dearly. The second gift, a ruby necklace in the shape of a heart, was given because of two reasons: one, Luke made it and two, Sofia’s heart was full of love. The third gift was a hair bow, much like the one Sofia wore in her hair from time to time. Luke just wanted to add more blue. The last gift, a parasol, was gifted because Luke remembered how she carried one with her back when they were dating, and how cute she looked toting it around.
