Dear Dad,

Happy Birthday Mia
“Geez, Mia...”
Luke watched as his daughter demolished the tiny birthday cake they had bought for her. She sat in her high chair with a bib on, but the tiny cloth was no match for Mia’s destruction of the confection. Icing was smeared everywhere Mia could put it, and it caked up in her hair in the messiest possible manner.
“She really is my daughter, huh?”
As much of a handful as Mia was becoming as she reached her second year of life, Luke was undoubtedly still the same proud father he’d always been since Sofia had even announced her first pregnancy. With a laugh as Mia smacked her hands into the mess of what used to be a cake, Luke snapped some photos on his phone before going to help Mia in getting some of the cake into her mouth and not on the floor or in her hair.

•｡ ღ 𝒮ofia believed that for this barn dance, it would be appropriate to dress modestly yet beautifully; she strived to look like the southern belle that has been described in novels. She typically stayed away from less modern and more old-fashioned clothing; however, when she sought for a dress to be custom tailored for her, it seemed to fit best to wear something that was a little vintage. The flower crown was her own personal touch, though. She looked forward to finding the perfect dress for her darling little girl, Mia - she would look absolutely splendid for this dance as well!
