We recently released the beta stage of our website and we are currently looking for creative individuals to help our website grow, before i get into the details however, a little about the website itself.

The fold in an open source platform for inspiring journalists and writers, or simply for those with something to say, to come together in the effort of communicating ideas, provoking thought and inciting discussion, in the form of articles, blog posts, reviews and essays.

Our aim is to create a community that is built upon sharing information, to help develop critical thinking skills and to create an environment where opinions and ideas grow. Targeted towards budding journalists, writers and developed minds, we want to help you, the writer, to let your voice be heard. Away from the confined spaces of traditional news and blogging platforms and in to the modern realms of open source journalism.

After all, the news is what you make of it.

Now, were looking for a diverse selection of people to take part in the beta process, so if you have an interest in any of the areas listed on the site, don’t be afraid to provide some content. For example we are looking for some of the following.

Gamers, with interest in reviewing titles and writing about their experiences, also those who have an interest in esports.

those with interest in politics, current events, philosophy, sociology, religion and most of the humanities sectors.

Technology writers, with interests in hardware, new technology, softwares, programming etc.

Art and design, those with interests in the arts, graphic design, independent film and music etc.

There really is no set type of person we are looking for, if you have something to write about, then its welcomed on the site.(within reason, of course).

The website uses two major search functionalities, posts are attached to one of the categories listed on the menu function, while tags are linked to the post, by the poster, to give more appropriate listings when using the search function. However, currently, the latter of the functionalities in unavailable, we are in the process of fixing it.

Initial contributing members who are active and regularly post content will receive resident status after the beta is over, with a select few being given editors permissions to help run the site. If you have any questions, please ask away!

FA: Cause I mean, you know, go and cure AIDS or something. I mean, it’s rubbish. Like, don’t spend your time captioning pictures of cats.

JH: Yeah, but the thing is, it’s not representative of human life to say that people do worthwhile things all the time… like, that’s part of human life, but then another massive part of human life is being able to laugh and enjoy life, otherwise you couldn’t—you wouldn’t be able to do it.
