Question time.
My mother was not a cook. She was the type of cook who heated things up for almost all meals. A trait passed down to my sister and I. (or me. Can never remember)
When cooking beans for a meal are you supposed to soak them before they start cooking in the slow cooker? They’re going to be on low and slow heat.
Somewhere along my journey on this rock I picked up the knowledge that said you should soak beans.
Every time my sister makes beans I ask “Aren’t they supposed to be soaked?” This exasperates her because I just forget. I’m not asking in order to push her buttons.
I think one time they came out harder than they were supposed to be. I don’t remember if I said anything then or I just didn’t choose that battle at the time.
Anyhow, beans to soak or not to soak?
Thanks
