As for which Boyle, I don’t know?
I tend to headcanon Esma as Burrows’ mistress, because I think that’s the pairing that might eke a modicum of warmth and real affection and happiness out of the relationship. Maybe.
Butttttttt, I tend to headcanon Lydia as the object of Brisby’s - hurk - affection. I have a lot of feels about Lydia as the overlooked middle sister who just stays out of the spotlight and does her own piano/lowkey black magic thing, and has complicated good-bad feelings about her lack of a spotlight, so… giving her a 1000-watt stalker spotlight feels very Monkey’s Paw.
…I’ve played through Lady Boyle’s Last party… say, ten times? I’ve gotten Lydia as the target for about eight of those. My game has a terrible bias against her and I think it’s rubbed off on how I’ve made her the punching bag of the Boyle family.
Whoops.
Meanwhile, if Waverly is Brisby’s target, I headcanon that she wakes up while they’re still in the sewers and shanks his bitch ass and feeds him to the hagfish. \o/
(I know that once I get one ask, I’ll get five more followups in the next 24 hours, so here - if anyone cares about more headcanon, I have a drabble about how the Brisby fallout goes for the three of them, and how the Burrows courtship goes, and a fic of the conversations they’d like to have with Corvo.
