Man, gotta respect a film that takes mental health seriously and does its research to create believable, lovable characters and a beautiful story. 💚

So, my first child got a sticker of a character that reminded me of him, but no one could possibly remind me of my second child as much as Bruno (yes, we do talk about Bruno), so I was compelled to draw him a sticker of the character as well. The resemblance (appearance, personality, behavior, and even expressions) is uncanny, so rewatching the movie made me develop an incredible emotional connection towards this familiar-looking guy in an instant - and then I watched the movie about a thousand times in a row (only a slight exaggeration).

Boros:

Kratos: I am... making a gift. For you.

Atreus: It looks like... a harp? No, wait, a lyre! From your homeland, right?

Kratos: ... Yes.

Atreus: That's so cool! Can you play?

Kratos: I can... yes.

Atreus: Will you teach me?

Kratos: After we hunt... and it is finished.

Atreus: Thank you, Father!

It’s the part that’s always seen the power he wields and turned towards like a flower seeking sunlight, enthralled and fascinated and desperately curious.

“It’s more than that and you know it.” Beth stabs an accusing finger at him and the corner of his mouth twitches as he hums and turns back to the road.
