I really think we should stop saying "kid-friendly" and start saying "ad-friendly". We shouldn't indulge these companies and their excuses anymore. I also think that continuing to pretend that this is about "protecting the children" pushes a lot of the blame onto kids and teens, who don't have the political power to push through any of this censorship legislature. Corporations and governments are to blame.

huh. so it turns out ginger can be really really good at treating period pain. like, as effective as ibuprofen/NSAIDs good.

I'm the last person to say "just drink tea about it" but if cramps are kicking your ass and the painkillers need some backup...consider chugging a mug of hot water + ginger powder

#not a shitpost #because unfortunately there are only so many painkillers you can take before poisoning your organs :(#i knew ginger was a home remedy but didn't realize it was ibuprofen levels of effectiveness that's crazy #the linked studies specifically use powdered ginger btw. so if you go with storebought tea maybe look for a powdered version #there are also capsule supplements #or just good old ginger powder from the spice rack #eat that sucker by the spoonful and call it a tiktok challenge
